    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is connected to a 5G New Radio (NR) network via a serving cell. The UE performs radio resource management (RRM) measurements on the serving cell, determines whether the UE satisfies power saving criteria for a first, second, or third mobility scenario while in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) idle state or RRC inactive state, wherein, when the UE is in the first or second mobility scenario, the UE performs RRM measurements with longer intervals relative to RRM measurements performed in a non-power-saving mode and wherein, when the UE is in the third scenario, the UE performs RRM measurements for neighbor cells with longer intervals relative to RRM measurements performed in a non-power-saving mode and determines a UE RRM configuration when the UE transitions from any of the power saving scenarios or the non-power-saving mode to any other power saving scenarios or the non-power-saving mode.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is configured with multi-transmission and reception point (multi-TRP) operation. The UE groups capabilities of handling two overlapping physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmissions into a plurality of groups, determining a UE capability of handling two overlapping PDSCH transmissions based on the plurality of groups and transmits the UE capability to a next generation nodeB (gNB) of a 5G new radio (NR) wireless network. The UE also determines if a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission collides with a cell-specific reference signal (CRS) of a long term evolution (LTE) transmission and determines if the CRS originated from a same multi-transmission/reception point (TRP) as the DMRS.

A user equipment (UE) is configured to establish a connection to a network, the network comprising a first cell and a second cell. The UE receives a positioning reference signal from each of the first and second cells, determines a frequency band for each of the positioning reference signals, determines reference signal time difference (RSTD) values from measured time offsets between the positioning reference signals from the first and second cells, determines RSTD reporting values based on at least the RSTD values and the determined frequency bands and transmits an indication of the RSTD reporting values to the network.

    Abstract: Some aspects include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for facilitating control messaging for multi-beam communications in 5G wireless communication systems. Nodes of a 5G network may be generate Medium Access Control Control Elements (MAC CEs) to update User Equipment (UE) with different Component Carrier (CC) settings. The MAC CEs may update a list of CCs to reduce messaging overhead and latency. For example, a MAC CE may indicate an update for a Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) state for a list of CCs. Similarly, a MAC CE may be used to update a spatial relation for a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) resource set and/or a SRS resource corresponding to a list of CCs. A MAC CE may also be used to update multiple TCI codepoints having one or two TCI states in a multi-Transmission Reception Point (multi-TRP) scenario.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) and a network node can support sounding reference signals (SRS) based antenna beam pair selection for simultaneous uplink transmission with multi-panels by the UE. One or more antenna beam pairs of a UE having a first antenna panel and a second antenna panel may be used to transmit SRSs to a first transmission reception point (TRP) and a second TRP simultaneously using SRS resources configured by one or more SRS configuration sets from the network node. The UE can configure a SRS spatial filter for a SRS resource to indicate a direction of an antenna beam, while some of the SRS resource is configured by the one or more SRS configuration sets received from the network node. The network node can select an antenna beam pair among the one or more antenna beam pairs based on indications of signal strength of SRSs received.

    Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for capability reporting for antenna switching, AS, sound reference signals, SRS. A user equipment (UE) can transmit a capability report for AS SRS that includes a plurality of receive antenna (e.g., six or eight receive antenna), and receive SRS instructions based on the capability report. The UE can transmit a first temporary capability reduction for a duration, and transmit a first SRS according to the first temporary capability reduction and the SRS instructions, while maintaining phase continuity. To maintain phase continuity, the UE can calibrate one or more SRS ports participating in the AS SRS to transmit with substantially a same transmit power. The UE can determine that a second SRS overlaps an other transmission in a time domain, determine that the other transmission has an absolute priority over the second SRS, and transmit the other transmission but not the second SRS.

    Abstract: The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods for UE positioning. In an example, a UE transmits a sounding reference signal for positioning (SRSp) to a base station. The SRSp transmission can use frequency hopping and can rely on a window and/or a collision rule associated with the entire frequency hopping sequence or only a frequency hop of such a sequence. The window and/or collision rule can reduce the potential for signal collision with non-SRSp signals. Further, the UE can implement a low power high accuracy position (LPHAP) technique. In this technique, a fallback behavior or an SRSp transmission can be stopped if the UE is not able to accurately measure “N” configured reference signals, where “N” can be based on the positioning method.
