Abstract: The technologies described herein are generally directed toward facilitating indicating frequency and time domain resources in communication systems with multiple transmission points. According to an embodiment, a system can comprise a processor and a memory that can store executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations. The operations can include determining a first and a second transmission resource to use for transmission of a signal to a user device by, respectively, a first and a second network node. The operations can further include determining that the first and the second transmission resource comprise a same transmission resource. The operations can further include communicating, to a user equipment, a value corresponding to the first transmission resource and an indication that the first and the second transmission resource comprise the same transmission resource.

Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards operating a user equipment node as a scheduler user equipment (e.g., which can be a local manager of other nodes in a group). The scheduler user equipment receives a scheduling request for the scheduling of the resources for transmission of data by a transmitter user equipment, and based on the traffic type requested, schedules the transmitter user equipment and receiver user equipment(s) with scheduling data/allocated radio resources. The transmitter user equipment can directly transmit to the receiver user equipment(s) on the allocated radio resources, e.g., without further involvement of the scheduler user equipment/local manager. For cellular data, the scheduler user equipment can schedule the transmitter user equipment to transmit to the scheduler user equipment as a receiver node.

Abstract: The disclosed subject matter is directed towards scheduling and Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) operations by which nodes in a three party communication system can communicate. To schedule a data transmission from a transmitter node to receiver node(s), a local manager/scheduler node sends common downlink control information to the transmitter and receiver nodes. Via a scheduling request, the transmitting node can request the scheduling of the data transmission by the local manager node. The technology facilitates unicast and broadcast/multicast data transmissions; for a unicast data transmission, the scheduling request identifies the receiving node. The transmitting node can explicitly acknowledge reception of the downlink control information to the local manager node, or the local manager node can detect the data transmission, when it occurs, as an implicit acknowledgment that the common downlink control information was successfully received.

Based on a signal quality associated with the subset of beams, the system can indicate that the subset of beams is to be used for the communication transmission. Consequently, the subset of the beams or another subset of the subset of the beams can be utilized for the communication transmission based on the signal quality of the beams.

Abstract: During a sidelink process, a configured grant can be utilized for data reception. For example, one user device (e.g., gnodeB or local manager user equipment) can send a signal to a receiving UE indicating that the user device should monitor a specific channel for a specific time. The user device can then send another signal to a transmitting user equipment indicating that it needs to transmit on a specific sub channel at the specific time or window of time. Thus, the user device can facilitate scheduling of data transmissions/receptions such that radio resources are preserved.

Abstract: Aspects of the technology described herein are directed towards using generic control information in a three-party wireless communication system to schedule a data transmission and reception of the data transmission. A scheduler node transmits the generic control information, comprising identification information that identifies a user equipment device as a transmitter node, and scheduling information that schedules a data transmission. For unicast data transmissions, the generic control information further identifies a receiver node, and can schedule transmission of an ACK/NACK from the receiver node corresponding to receiving the data transmission. A control procedure can be configured in a user equipment device by linking a channel configuration dataset to a resource configuration dataset, which in turn is linked to a channel transmit and receive configuration dataset. Reconfiguration is achieved by changing the linking(s) between one or more different available datasets.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving an RF signal having a carrier wave component operating at a carrier frequency within a millimeter wave spectrum and an information component based on a phase modulation of the carrier wave component. The received RF signal is divided into first and second signal portions that remain in phase with respect to each other. The first signal portion is delayed by one symbol period of the phase modulation and combined with the second signal portion to obtain a combined output signal. An in-phase portion of the combined output signal is detected via a non-linear energy detector, wherein an amplitude of the first detected signal corresponds to the in-phase portion of the received RF signal. The first combined output signal includes information of the information component. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving, by a first radio module at a first location, a wireless MIMO signal, to obtain a first received RF signal. The wireless MIMO signal includes information originating at a remote MIMO transmitter and conveyed via a wireless channel. An envelope of the first received RF signal is detected by the first radio module without requiring a local oscillator, to obtain a first baseband signal. The first baseband signal may be filtered and/or amplified, after which it is compared to a reference value to obtain a first digital signal that is provided to a digital processor. The digital processor also obtains a second digital signal from a second radio module receiving the wireless MIMO signal at a second location and determines an estimate of the information originating at the remote MIMO transmitter according to the first and second digital signals. Other embodiments are disclosed.
