Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wireless device to perform methods to implement mechanisms for non-stand-alone unlicensed band cells that support single carrier capable UEs. A UE may camp on a licensed band cell of a RAN and transmit a request to connect. The UE may receive, from the licensed band cell, a connection setup message indicating a switch to an unlicensed band cell of the RAN and receive, from the unlicensed band cell, a reference signal. The UE may transmit to the unlicensed band cell and in response to confirming, based at least in part of the reference signal, radio quality and/or downlink timing of the unlicensed band cell, a connection complete/connection resume message.

In another aspect, a technique for a wireless system to receive a multi-SIM capability message from a wireless device, determine a connection configuration of the wireless device based on the received multi-SIM capability message, and transmit an indication of the configured connection to the wireless device.

Abstract: Peer devices may wirelessly communicate with each other over a bidirectional sidelink logical channel (LCH) through an established bidirectional sidelink radio bearer. An initiating device of the peer devices may dynamically select a logical channel ID for establishing a fully bidirectional or semi-bidirectional SLRB. At least two alternative sidelink radio resource control (PC5-RRC) procedures may ensure the SLRB parameters are configured correctly in the established logical channel. The procedures also allow the network to configure a limited SLRB which is used to couple the SLRB configuration in the direction in which limited traffic (e.g. feedback information such as robust header compression feedback and/or status reports) is transmitted.

Abstract: Base stations, user equipment devices (UEs), and methods for a base station to supply service type-specific information to the UE. The base station may broadcast a first system information block (SIB) comprising scheduling information for a plurality of second SIBs, wherein each of the plurality of second SIBs corresponds to a respective service type of a plurality of service types, and wherein the second SIBs describe service type-specific capabilities of the base station. The plurality of service types may comprise two or more of enhanced mobile broadband, ultra-reliable low latency communications, and massive machine-type communications. The base station may broadcast the plurality of second SIBs according to the scheduling information of the first SIB, and may establish a connection and communicate with the UE using one or more service types and according to the service type-specific capabilities described by second SIBs corresponding to the one or more service types.
