Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE) to perform reduced transmission time interval (TTI) data transmission within a wireless communication network is disclosed. The UE can process a process, for transmission to an eNodeB, control information within a short transmission time interval (TTI) over a short TTI resource block (RB) set within a short physical uplink control channel (S-PUCCH), wherein the short TTI is shorter in time than a TTI that has a duration of at least one (1) millisecond, and wherein the S-PUCCH is a subset of resources available for a short physical uplink shared channel (S-PUSCH) and the S-PUSCH is a subset of resources available for a legacy PUSCH transmission; and process, for transmission to the eNodeB, data within the short TTI over the short TTI RB set within the S-PUSCH.

Abstract: Described is an apparatus of a User Equipment (UE) operable to communicate with a fifth generation Evolved Node-B (gNB) on a wireless network. The apparatus may comprise a first circuitry and a second circuitry. The first circuitry may be operable to determine a first parameter set and a second parameter set for establishing Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) resources. The second circuitry may be operable to process a first part of a PDSCH transmission from a first set of Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) layers corresponding with a first Multimedia Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) configuration based on the first parameter set. The second circuitry may also be operable to process a second part of the PDSCH transmission from a second set of MIMO layers corresponding with a second MBSFN configuration based on the second parameter set.

Abstract: Techniques for measuring CSI (Channel State Information) based on beamformed CSI-RS having reduced overhead are discussed. One example embodiment configured to be employed in a UE (User Equipment) comprises a memory; and one or more processors configured to: process higher layer signaling indicating one or more CSI-RS resources associated with a plurality of REs (Resource Elements) comprising a RE for each CSI-RS resource for each of one or more CSI-RS APs (Antenna Ports) in each of a plurality of continuous PRBs (physical resource blocks); process additional higher layer signaling comprising one or more CSI-RS parameters that indicate a subset of the plurality of REs associated with a beamformed CSI-RS transmission; decode one or more CSI-RSs from the indicated subset; and measure one or more CSI parameters based on the decoded one or more CSI-RSs.

Abstract: Provided herein are method and apparatus for configuration of a Reference Signal (RS) and a Tracking Reference Signal (TRS). An embodiment provides an apparatus for a user equipment (UE), comprising baseband processing circuitry configured to receive downlink control information (DCI) that indicates a number of slots for a Tracking Reference Signal (TRS, wherein the number of slots is based on a subcarrier spacing of a bandwidth part (BWP) in a current component carrier for the UE and receive TRS based on the number of slots indicated in the DCI, a frequency density of the TRS based on a bandwidth for the TRS, and a quasi co-location (QCL) relationship of the TRS, wherein the QCL relationship indicates that the TRS is Quasi-Co-Located (QCLed) with a Synchronization Signal (SS) block or a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS).

The apparatus may comprise a first circuitry, a second circuitry, and a third circuitry. The first circuitry may be operable to detect a beam failure event. The second circuitry may be operable to generate a beam failure recovery request for transmission to the gNB, in response to the beam failure event. The third circuitry my be operable to monitor for Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) in a search space configured by the gNB, subsequent to a transmission of the beam failure recovery request.

Abstract: An apparatus of a New Radio (NR) User Equipment (UE), a method and system. The apparatus includes one or more processors to encode a two part CSI including: encode a two part CSI including: encoding information bits of a first channel state information (CSI) type and information bits of a second CSI part to generate, respectively, encoded bits of a first CSI part and encoded bits of a second CSI part, a payload size of the second CSI part being based on encoded bits of the first CSI part and further being encoded separately from information bits of the first CSI part; and mapping the encoded bits of the first CSI part onto a first physical resource and the encoded bits of the second CSI part onto a second physical resource different from the first physical resource; and configure the two part CSI in a long or short PUCCH for transmission to a NR evolved Node B (gNodeB).
