Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for transmission of k repetitions over a channel are described. Repetition formats for the transmissions include options for slot-based repetition, mini-slot based repetition, intra-slot frequency hopping, inter-slot frequency hopping, data splitting, data switching, and DMRS sharing, among others. In some examples, intra-slot frequency hopping is performed. A first repetition of the k repetitions is sent over the channel, starting from a first symbol within a first slot, and using a first set of frequency resources. A second repetition of the k repetitions is sent over the channel, following the first repetition and starting from a second symbol within the first slot, and using a second set of frequency resources.

Abstract: This application discloses communication methods and communication apparatuses. A terminal device receives indication information from a network device. The terminal device performs uplink or downlink data transmission according to the one or more pieces of configuration information. Each piece of configuration information is selected from a first set of configuration information or a second set of configuration information. The first set of configuration information corresponds to a first mapping type of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) and the second set of configuration information corresponds to a second mapping type of the PDSCH.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an uplink control information sending method, an uplink control information receiving method, an apparatus, and a system. The method includes: receiving, by a terminal device, channel indication information from an access network device on a physical control channel; determining the channel resource set that is of N channel resource sets and that matches a type or a size of the UCI as a first channel resource set; determining a channel resource that is in the first channel resource set and that is indicated by the channel indication information; and sending uplink control information UCI to the access network device on the channel resource. A quantity of bits that need to be added to the channel indication information in the embodiments of the present invention is less than that in the prior art.
