The inner electrode has a continuous overall surface and the at least one outer electrode has a plurality of holes (21; 56; 70) to provide a plurality of ion generating points for generation of negative ions.
Abstract:
Apparatus and method for removal of particles and VOC from an airstream, in which particles carried by the airstream are charged by a corona ionizer and then collected by an electrically enhanced filter downstream of the ionizer. A catalytic filter downstream of the electrically enhanced filter removes VOC as well as ozone generated by the ionizer.

Abstract:
In an electrostatic precipitator for filtering particulate matter from a gas, a fan (10) draws the gas (5) through an ioniser section (7) and a collector section (6). Ioniser blades (3) with sawtooth spikes (8) create a corona discharge (4) when charged to a high voltage, so that gas-borne particles are charged when passing through the corona area. The collector section (6) consists of a set of metallic plates (1, 2) of which every other plate (1) is connected to ground, while the remaining plates (2) receive a charge by induction from the ioniser blades (3), and act as repeller plates, pushing charged particles in the gas flow (5) over to the grounded plates (1).
Abstract:
A ventilator (10) includes a casing (20) which includes an inlet (21) for outdoor air, an inlet (22) for indoor air, and an air outlet (23), and an air-blowing fan (30) contained in the casing (20). The ventilator (10) is configured to suck the outdoor air and the indoor air through the corresponding inlets (21, 22) into the casing (20) by using the air-blowing fan (30), process the sucked air, and supply the processed air through the outlet (23) into a room. An electrical dust collecting mechanism (40) is provided in the casing (20) to remove dust in the sucked air. Furthermore, a deodorizing mechanism (50) having a low resistance to air circulation is provided in the casing (20) to remove an odorous substance in the sucked air.

The ionization section includes at least one level at a right angle to the channel axis. The at least one assembly includes at least two substantially identical ionization stages disposed in a plane and arranged uniformly about the channel axis and configured to conduct a gas flow radially, with respect to the channel axis, inward therethrough into the downstream central collection section so as to be similarly diverted such that a flow profile over an inside cross section in the downstream central collection section is not inclined with respect to the channel axis in the course of the gas flow.
Abstract:
A method, and an apparatus to reduce and remove liquid droplets in air, such as fog, mist, haze, spray or steam. The mist and/or air borne water or other liquid droplets catching and collection apparatus creates an “electric wind”, especially enforced by charged needle points or line arranged constructions and/or wires of the first electrode and an electric charging of mist and/or air borne water or other liquid droplets, which will be directed by the “electric wind” and the electric field between the electric source and the opposite grounded or opposite charged counter electrode (second electrode) of fine gauze or something comparable.
