Abstract: ePDCCH may be provided. For example, a WTRU may receive a configuration for monitoring an ePDCCH resource. Based on the configuration, the WTRU may be configured to monitor and may monitor the ePDCCH resource on a particular subframe. Additionally, a WTRU may derive an aggregation level for a subframe associated with an aggregation level number NAL. The WTRU may transmit or monitor an ePDCCH using the aggregation level associated with the NAL for the subframe. A WTRU may also receive a reference signal. The WTRU may then determine the type of reference signal received. The WTRU may perform a demodulation of the PDSCH or ePDCCH using a demodulation timing based on the determined type. The ePDCCH or PDSCH may also be monitored or received by identifying a demodulation reference timing implicitly based on a location of one or more ePDCCH resources where the WTRU may receive DCI.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for receiving a broadcast configuration indicating when a change in a RAN function termination occurs is provided, for example, by a timer value. The broadcast configuration may be received from a satellite, blimp or other moving transmitter. A dedicated configuration may also be received from the serving cell. The dedicated configuration may include a preamble, a transient configuration and an indication of a layer 2 behavior. If a WTRU detects a change in RAN function termination, the WTRU may suspend any uplink data transmissions, apply the transient configuration and transmit the preamble to a target cell. The WTRU may synchronize with the target cell and apply the layer 2 behavior.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for multicast and unicast MAC address assignment protocol (MUMAAP). A first node may transmit, to a second node, based on a unicast MAC address of the second node or a multicast MAC address associated with the second node, a discover message that may include a first MAC address or a first range of MAC addresses. The first node may receive an offer message with a second range of MAC addresses. If the first node selects a second MAC address from the received second range of MAC addresses, the first node may transmit a request message indicating that the second MAC address or the second range of MAC addresses is allocated to the first node. The first node may receive an acknowledge message indicating that the second MAC address or the second range of MAC addresses is allocated to the first node.

Abstract: Systems, methods and instrumentalities are disclosed for decoding data. For example, it may be determined, in a current slot, whether data received in a previous slot is decoded successfully. The data received in the previous slot may be included in a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH). If the data received in the previous slot is not decoded successfully, preemptive multiplexing information may be detected in a first search space. The data received in the previous slot may be decoded, for example, using detected preemptive multiplexing information. The preemptive multiplexing information may be of a current slot. The preemptive multiplexing information may be comprised in a first DCI. A second search space of the current slot may be searched. For example, the second search space may be searched for a second DCI. The first DCI and the second DCI may be different.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for narrowband (NB) LTE operation. A WTRU may receive a first downlink data transmission, for example, via a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The WTRU may determine to send a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgment (ACK) in response to receipt of the first downlink data transmission. The WTRU may transmit a first uplink reference signal. The WTRU may indicate the HARQ-ACK using a first cyclic shift index that is applied to the first uplink reference signal. The WTRU may determine to send a HARQ negative ACK (HARQ-NACK), for example, on a condition that a second downlink data transmission is not correctly received. The WTRU may send a second uplink reference signal. The WTRU may indicate the HARQ-NACK using a second cyclic shift that is applied to the second uplink reference signal.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for paging procedures in wireless systems. For example, a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may monitor one or more physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) for paging resources associated with a first subset of synchronization signal (SS) blocks that corresponds to a first beam tracking area (BTA). On a condition that at least one measurement of at least one beam associated with the first subset of SS blocks is less than a predetermined threshold, the WTRU may transmit, to a base station (BS), a signal indicating a second BTA that is associated with a second subset of SS blocks. The signal includes a physical random access channel (PRACH) resource associated with a second group of SS blocks that corresponds to the second BTA.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for providing Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) techniques for a non-terrestrial network. For example, a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may transmit, to a satellite base station (BS), uplink (UL) feedback that includes configuration information for redundancy versions (RVs) and cross redundancy versions (cRVs). The WTRU may receive one or more first RVs associated with a first transport block (TB). The WTRU may receive one or more second RVs associated with a second TB and at least one cross redundancy version (cRV) associated with the first TB and second TB. The cRV may include parity bits generated from both the first TB and second TB. If at least one of the first TB or the second TB is unsuccessfully decoded, the WTRU may decode the first TB and second TB jointly based on the at least one cRV.
