摘要: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities may be disclosed for implementing a flexible radio access communication system. A flexible radio access communication system may be supported using spectrum of varying size, including aggregation of non-adjacent carriers in the same and/or in different frequency bands. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a first transmission via a common downlink control channel. The first transmission may include first control information. The first control information may include information regarding the configuration of a first dedicated downlink control channel of one or more dedicated control channels. The WTRU may receive a second transmission via the first dedicated downlink control channel of the dedicated control channels. The second transmission may include second control information. The second control information may be associated with a transmission of a first transmission type. The dedicated downlink control channels may be used for providing control information associated with different types of transmissions.

摘要: Logical channel (LCH) may be multiplexed together based on one or more latency requirements. Mapping of LCH(s) to spectrum operating mode(s) (SOM(s)) may be based on SOM capability and/or LCH requirements. A WTRU may determine mapping based on one or more pre-defined rules. The mapping may be based on one or more requirements for the various type of traffic and/or SOM capabilities. A radio bearer may be mapped to one or more SOMs. The WTRU may be configured with a set of SOMs, for one or more, or each, radio bearer. The WTRU may dynamically determine, for example based on radio conditions, buffer status and/or other parameters, the SOM to use. Incompatible multiplexing of LCH may be reduced and/or avoided, perhaps based on using one or more transport blocks (TBs) mapped to the same physical layer (PHY). Traffic may be prioritized based on one or more latency requirements.

摘要: Embodiments contemplate wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) transmissions of different types of uplink channels and/or signals in a system deployment where multiple destination points may exist. Some embodiments contemplate that a WTRU may select the destination point of a transmission on a dynamic basis. In one or more systems where destination point selection from among multiple potential destination points may be possible for a WTRU transmission, some embodiments contemplate the determination of the handling of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) retransmissions and for different power headroom reporting mechanisms. Embodiments also contemplate the reduction and/or inhibition of WTRU transmissions to destination points to which the WTRU may have lost connectivity.

摘要: A WTRU may receive downlink control information (DCI) indicating a start of a frame. The DCI may be received on a control channel, such as the Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) from an eNB, base station, AP, or other infrastructure equipment operating in a wireless communications system. The WTRU may decode the DCI and may determine a transmit time interval (TTI) duration, which may be expressed in terms of an integer number of basic time intervals (BTIs). The WTRU may determine a downlink (DL) transmission portion and assignment and an uplink (UL) transmission portion and UL grant based on the received DCI. Additionally, the WTRU may determine the start of the UL portion based on an offset (toffset). The WTRU may receive data in a DL portion of the frame and may transmit in an UL portion of the frame based on the determined UL grant and TTI duration.

The WTRU may determine if the D2D data may be transmitted. The WTRU may determine available scheduling assignment (SA) resources used for priority based D2D data signals. The WTRU may select one or more available SA resources used for priority based D2D data signals. The WTRU may transmit the D2D data, wherein the D2D data may be transmitted on the selected SA resources.

摘要: A method and apparatus for sending uplink control information by a multi-mode wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) capable of operating on multiple component carriers of a plurality of radio access technologies (RATs) for multi-RAT operation are disclosed. The WTRU may generate uplink control information (UCI) pertaining to a first RAT and a second RAT, wherein the UCI may include a first plurality of hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgements (HARQ-ACKs) pertaining to a plurality of downlink (DL) transmissions of the first RAT and a second plurality of HARQ-ACKs pertaining to a plurality of DL transmissions of the second RAT. The WTRU may multiplex at least part of the generated UCI pertaining to the first RAT and at least part of the generated UCI pertaining to the second RAT onto a physical channel on a component carrier of the second RAT.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for performing device-to-device (D2D) discovery are described. A service discovery process may include a discoverable device (e.g., a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU)) sending a discovery request, over a wireless connection, for a radio resource for the purpose of performing a transmission for radio frequency (RF) proximity detection for a given service. The WTRU may receive a discovery response including a configuration for RF proximity detection from a network, which configuration may be associated to the service. The configuration for RF proximity may be received by dedicated signaling, (e.g., physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH)), in particular for a discoverable WTRU. The configuration for RF proximity may be received on a broadcast channel, (e.g., a discovery shared channel (DISCH)), in particular for a monitoring WTRU, and may include one or more service identities, each associated with an RF proximity detection configuration, or a validity information and a measurement configuration.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses are provided for generating a protocol data unit (PDU). An apparatus may comprise a processor configured to provide a medium access control (MAC) entity and a segmentation entity. The MAC entity may indicate an amount of data associated with the segmentation entity to be multiplexed by the MAC entity. The segmentation entity may segment, based on the indicated amount of data, a service data unit (SDU) into a segment, and the MAC entity may multiplex the segment into a MAC protocol data unit (PDU). The MAC PDU may include a field that indicates whether the segment is included and whether the segment is a last segment. The apparatus may further comprise a transmitter configured to transmit the MAC PDU.

摘要: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed to manage interference caused by D2D communications. A wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may include a processor. The processor may be configured to perform one or more of the following. The processor may determine to send information using a device-to-device transmission via a resource pool from a plurality of resource pools. Each resource pool may be associated with a range of reference signal receive power (RSRP) values. The processor may determine a RSRP measurement of a cell associated with the WTRU. The processor may select a resource pool from the plurality of resource pools based on the RSRP measurement of the cell. The RSRP measurement of the cell may be within the range of RSRP values associated with the selected resource pool. The processor may send the information using the selected resource pool.
