Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and a base station may perform one or more operations for receive antenna switching. For example, a UE may receive a set of reference signals from a base station using one or more ports of the UE. Based on receiving the set of reference signals, the UE may generate channel state information (CSI) associated with a set of antenna ports. In some cases, the UE may generate CSI based on receiving a configuration indicating the set of antenna ports. The UE may transmit, to the base station, a CSI report including the CSI information associated with the set of antenna ports and an indication of the associated antenna ports. The base station may receive the CSI report and may communicate with the UE using a set of precoders associated with the set of indicated antennas ports.

Abstract: A UE and a base station are disclosed. The UE may receive, from a base station, an indication of a configuration of an SS and a set of candidate DL-RSs associated with a plurality of CG-SDT resources. The base station may monitor for the UL data transmission from the UE corresponding to a CG-SDT occasion of the CG-SDT resources. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for transmitting multiple repetitions of a random access shared channel message in multiple slots using beamformed wireless communications. A UE may determine transmission slots for one or more of the multiple repetitions of a random access shared channel message based on slots associated with random access occasions (ROs) that are mapped to an identified synchronization signal block (SSB), such as a SSB associated with a beam that is selected for communications by the UE. In cases where slots with ROs mapped to the identified SSB are not consecutively located, one or more slot offsets may be provided for transmitting the multiple repetitions of the random access shared channel message. Slot offsets may be explicitly indicated by a base station in a random access response message, or may be determined by the UE based on a mapping of SSBs to ROs.

Abstract: A low complexity user equipment (UE) may be in communication with another UE (e.g., with a premium UE or more capable UE) via a device-to-device communication link (e.g., via sidelink), and the low complexity UE may leverage the device-to-device link to improve (e.g., simplify, expedite, etc.) random access procedures performed by the low complexity UE. For example, a low complexity UE may request contention free random access (CFRA) resources via the device-to-device link with another UE. Another device (e.g., another UE in device-to-device communication with the low complexity UE) may receive the request from the low complexity UE and forward the request to the network (e.g., to a base station). The network may then configure CFRA resources for the low complexity UE. Upon receiving the CFRA configuration, the low complexity UE may perform a random access procedure (e.g., a CFRA procedure) with the network (e.g., with the base station) accordingly.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently reporting channel state information (CSI) with limited overhead. In one aspect, if a user equipment (UE) is configured to transmit data and CSI to a base station periodically, the UE may transmit the CSI when the UE has data to transmit to the base station. In particular, the UE may transmit data and a CSI report during a transmission opportunity if the UE has data to transmit in the transmission opportunity. Otherwise, the UE may suppress transmission of the CSI report. In another aspect, a UE may be configured to transmit CSI to abase station when downlink channel conditions change. In particular, the UE may request to report CSI to the base station when channel conditions change, and the base station may trigger the UE to report the CSI after receiving the request.
