Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device, such as a user equipment (UE), may receive a configuration of a wake-up signal periodicity and perform discontinuous monitoring for a plurality of wake-up signals based at least in part on the wake-up signal periodicity. In some cases, the UE may perform a radio resource management (RRM) measurement according to an RRM measurement periodicity that corresponds to the wake-up signal periodicity. In such cases, the UE may monitor for paging messages to receive paging information, or updates to system information, during one or more wake-up signal occasions that correspond to the RRM measurement periodicity. For instance, paging information may be received while the UE is performing RRM measurements, where paging message may be monitored for based on the wake-up signal periodicity.

Abstract: Idle discontinuous reception (I-DRX) cycles at a user equipment (UE) may be extended via leveraging of paging assistance from a second UE. For example, a low complexity UE may have a connection to a network (e.g., via a link to a base station) as well as a connection to another UE (e.g., via a device-to-device link to a regular UE). In cases where such a low complexity UE receives paging messages from the network, a UE associated with a device-to-device link of the low complexity UE may monitor paging messages on behalf of the low complexity UE. As such, the low complexity UE may extend its I-DRX cycle, as the assisting UE monitors paging information for the low complexity UE. The assisting UE may forward paging information for the low complexity UE according to paging occasions of the extended I-DRX cycle of the low complexity UE.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to methods, devices, and systems for wireless communications. In some wireless communications systems, a base station may transmit a multicast message to a group of user equipment (UEs), and the UEs may provide feedback for the multicast message. In some implementations, the base station may configure the UEs to transmit feedback for multicast messages. In some example, the UEs may transmit group-negative acknowledgment (NACK) feedback information for multicast messages that are not successfully received at the UEs. In some other examples, each UE may be configured with UE-specific uplink control channel resources for transmitting hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for a multicast message. In some implementations, a UE may support feedback for both unicast and multicast messages. The semi-static codebook for unicast, multicast, or both may account for whether the UE is capable of concurrently receiving unicast and multicast messages in a slot.

A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling from a base station that indicates a multicast or broadcast wake up signal (WUS) format. The UE may receive a multicast or broadcast WUS from the base station during a WUS monitoring occasion of a connected mode discontinuous reception (C-DRX) cycle in accordance with the control signaling. The multicast or broadcast WUS may indicate upcoming transmissions for a set of multicast or broadcast services (MBSs). If, for example, the UE is subscribed to a first MBS from the set of MBSs and the multicast or broadcast WUS indicates an upcoming transmission for the first MBS, the UE may monitor for the upcoming transmission during an active duration of the C-DRX cycle. Otherwise, the UE may enter a sleep mode to conserve power.
