Abstract:
An apparatus and method for displaying menu items of a hierarchical menu on a screen in such a manner that a function desired by a user can be traced and performed with a minimum number of key inputs. The top-level menu and bottom-level menu of the hierarchical menu can be simultaneously displayed in one screen picture, thereby enabling a user to reach from an upper-level menu to the bottom-level menu or from the bottom-level menu to the top-level menu with a minimum number of key inputs without passing through intermediate-level menus. Further, a certain menu can be displayed in one screen picture along with the one-level upper menu and one-level lower menu thereof or the one-level lower menu thereof so that the user can readily recognize the position of a current menu. Furthermore, the user can access all menus using only direction keys.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an inertial sensor of the present invention. An inertial sensor 100 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention includes a plate-shaped membrane 110, a mass body 120 disposed under a central portion 113 of the membrane 110, a post 130 disposed under an edge 115 of the membrane 110 and surrounding the mass body 120, a piezoelectric material 140 formed above the membrane 110 and provided with a cavity 141 in a thickness direction, a sensing electrode 150 disposed in the cavity 141 and a driving electrode 160 disposed outside the cavity 141, whereby the thickness of the piezoelectric material 140 of the portion on which the sensing electrode 150 is disposed is formed to be thin, such that the sensitivity of the inertial sensor 100 can be improved.
Abstract:

Abstract:
An apparatus and method for power control of a mobile BS of variable backbone capacity. The method includes determining a link state and capacity of a backbone of the BS, and determining a link state and service capacity between the BS and a mobile communication terminal. The method also includes, if the capacity of the backbone is less than the service capacity, setting the backbone capacity similar to the service capacity by lowering a transmit power of the BS by a predefined value.

The optical film of the present invention includes an acrylic resin and a core-shell type graft copolymer wherein the core includes a conjugate diene rubber, and the shell includes an acrylic monomer, an aromatic vinyl monomer, and a maleimide monomer.
Abstract:
Video encoding and decoding methods and devices are provided which can efficiently switch a lossy mode and a lossless mode to each other. The video encoding device includes: a prediction section that generates a residual signal which is a difference between an input image and prediction values acquired by performing one or more of temporal prediction and spatial prediction on macro blocks of the input image; a transformation and quantization section that performs or skips transformation and quantization on the residual signal depending on mode information; an entropy-coding section that entropy-codes the residual signal output from the transformation and quantization section to generate a bitstream; a lossless-mode QP range determining section that determines a lossless-mode QP range using an amount of bits generated by the entropy-coding section and a quantization coefficient (QP); and a mode determining section that compares a current QP value with the determined lossless-mode QP range to determine one of a lossy mode and a lossless mode and transmits information on the determined mode to the transformation quantization section. Accordingly, by designating a lossless-mode quantization coefficient range, it is possible to reduce an amount of bits necessary for switching a lossy mode and a lossless mode.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an image forming apparatus including a body housing in which an opening is formed for providing removal/mounting access of a removable cartridge; a door member for selectively closing the opening. The removable cartridge includes a cartridge status chip in which predetermined information relating to the removable cartridge is recorded. The door member of the image forming apparatus and the removable cartridge may each be provided with respective contact terminal or terminals that engage when the door member is closed with the removable cartridge received in the body housing of the image forming apparatus. The controller of the image forming apparatus uses the electrical continuity information of the contact terminal or terminals in order to determine the closure status of the door member and to control the operation of the image forming apparatus accordingly.
Abstract:
A voltage stabilizer circuit for alternately or simultaneously stabilizing first and second generated voltages includes shared capacitor connected between the first and second generated voltages. The voltage stabilizer circuit may further include first and second switches for alternately connecting the first and second electrode of the shared capacitor to a ground. The alternation of the stabilized first and second voltages output by the voltage stabilizer circuit can be synchronized with a pixel polarity inversion mode signal output by the internal driver circuit of an LCD display.
