Abstract: A controller for controlling dimming of an LED light source includes a control terminal and dimming control circuitry coupled to the control terminal. The control terminal provides a driving signal to control a control switch coupled to the LED light source, thereby controlling the dimming of the LED light source. The dimming control circuitry generates the driving signal according to a set of operations of a power switch that transfers an AC signal. The dimming control circuitry further adjusts the driving signal by counting multiple waves of the AC signal to control the dimming of the LED light source.

Abstract: A portable apparatus and an operation method thereof are provided. The portable apparatus has a screen and a touch pad, and a touch area of the touch pad is mapped to a display area of the screen. In the operation method, a first touch operation is detected by using the touch pad, and a cue area is displayed at a first display position on the screen mapped to a first touch position of the first touch operation. A second touch operation is detected by using the touch pad, and whether a second display position on the screen mapped to a second touch position of the second touch operation is within the cue area is determined. If the second display position is within the cue area, an operation function is executed on an object within the cue area. Otherwise, the cue area is moved to the second display position.

Abstract: A service request (150) having a predefined QoS (152) can be received from an end-user device (105) by a transit device (110). The transit device (110) can act as an access point for the end-user device (105) to connect to a mobile broadband network (135). A transport resource (130) of the transit device (110) can be allocated to handle a data flow of the received service request (150). The network address of the allocated transport resource (130) can be recognized by the mobile broadband network (135). The network addresses associated with data packets (160) of each data flow supporting the service request (150) can be translated by the transit device (110). The translation can occur between the network address of the end-user device (105) and the network address of the transport resource (130) allocated to the data flow based upon a directionality of the data packets (160).

Abstract: A dimming controller for controlling dimming of a light-emitting diode (LED) light source includes a monitoring terminal and a control terminal. The monitoring terminal receives a switch monitoring signal indicative of an operation of a power switch which transfers power from an AC power source to a bridge rectifier when the power switch is on. A power converter receives input power from the bridge rectifier and provides output power to the LED light source. The control terminal generates a control signal to adjust the output power according to the switch monitoring signal so as to control dimming of the LED light source.
