Abstract:
A data management apparatus connected to a data storage apparatus via a network manages the data storage apparatus by transmitting a command of structured document format such as the extensible markup language format and receiving the information related to the executed command as response data of the structured document format. Since the information included in the command is expressed using the structured document format, the data storage apparatus can flexibly interpret the command by ignoring missing and excess information included in the command, and vice versa.

Abstract:
In an image data server 200, a preview data generation unit 218 generates preview data corresponding to image data, and a transmission controller 211 transmits the preview data to a computer system 100 in an image receiver apparatus. In accordance with another possible application, the preview data is not generated by the image data server 200, but is generated by a computer system 300 in an image transmitter apparatus, which transmits the image data to the image data server 200, and transmitted to the image data server 200. In the computer system 100 in the image receiver apparatus, a display controller 113 causes the contents of the preview data to be displayed on the screen of a monitor 150. The user determines whether or not the image data corresponding to the displayed preview image is required. In response to an instruction for transfer of the image data input from the user, a transmission controller 111 transmits a request for transfer of the image data to the image data server 200. The transmission controller 211 then transmits the image data, which is the object of the request for transfer, to the computer system 100 in the image receiver apparatus. A print controller 114 causes the image data to be subjected to predetermined image processing, and a printer 180 prints the processed image data on a printing sheet of paper. This arrangement of the present invention enables the image receiver apparatus to selectively receive only the required data.
Abstract:
This image-taking system includes: at least one controllable motor (30, 32, 34) suitable for moving an image-taking point of a first mobile telephone in response to movement instructions received by the first mobile telephone, and a second telephone (42) including a module (60) for sending movement instructions to the first mobile telephone over a telephone network.
Abstract:
The camera reads identification information of the user, which is contained in an identification card, through a card reading part. The camera connects automatically to a server designated in accordance with the read identification information through a communication interface. Then, the camera transmits and stores the data of recorded images to the designated server. The camera retrieves the image data stored in the server, and reproduces and displays the image on an image display at the back of the camera. A plurality of cameras in which the same user's identification information is set can be controlled altogether in the image-recording and reproduction by one camera. One camera in which the identification information of a plurality of user's is set can distribute the recorded image data to the servers of the users simultaneously.
Abstract:
An imaging apparatus is so configured that the imaging apparatus and an external electronic device are connected, and when the imaging apparatus is in a power-save mode state, if a predetermined button on an external electronic device-use remote controller is depressed, the imaging apparatus is shifted from the power-save mode to a normal activation mode, and respective thumbnail images of a still image file and/or a moving image file stored in the imaging apparatus are multi-displayed on the external electronic device. Therefore, a user is able to immediately confirm what images are stored in the imaging apparatus with a simple manipulation, and thus, convenience is provided.
Abstract:
A recording apparatus includes a communications device which can receive from another communications apparatus by wireless an image-capturing condition of restricting an image-capturing process or a sound recording condition of restricting a sound recording process, and a device which performs an image-capturing or sound recording process according to the received image-capturing condition or sound recording condition. Thus, a user can automatically set a recording function of a recording apparatus in a restricted state without special care in a position where image-capturing, sound recording, etc. are prohibited, thereby recording on an allowed condition. Since it further includes a communications device which can receive by wireless from another communications apparatus a reproducing condition of restricting a reproducing function of an image, and a reproducing device which reproduces an image according to the received reproducing condition, an available function can be used by easily specifying a user of the communications apparatus.
Abstract:
