    Abstract: A progressive addition lens design method includes adjusting a lens surface shape to bring a difference between a first state when an object at a first location in a wearer's front and on the wearer's medial plane is visually recognized and a second state when an object at a second location positioned on the first location side in the horizontal direction at a constant height in the vertical direction is visually recognized in a plane parallel to a frontal plane and includes the first location at the time the lens is worn closer to a difference between a third state when an object at the first location is visually recognized and a fourth state when an object at the second location is visually recognized at the time a reference single focal lens corresponding to the progressive addition lens is worn or at the time equivalent to a naked eye.

    Abstract: To provide a resin composition having a good slightly bluish color tone, a spectacle lens including a base material made of the resin composition, and a method for producing the resin composition.Provided is a resin composition obtained by polymerizing a polymerizable composition including a polyisocyanate compound and a polythiol compound. The polymerizable composition includes a dye L having an absorption maximum wavelength of 550 nm or more and 600 nm or less in a toluene solution of 20 ppm by mass, and a dye S having an absorption maximum wavelength of 500 nm or more and less than 550 nm in a toluene solution of 20 ppm by mass. A mass ratio [(mass of dye L)/(mass of dye S)] of the dye L to the dye S is 5 or more and 500 or less.

    Abstract: A vision simulation, on assumption that spectacles are worn, is performed for a first model designed by setting a target additional power of a desirable value at a position corresponding to a fitting point on a principal meridian. A correction amount is computed for correcting the difference between a simulation value obtained for the additional power at the position corresponding to the fitting point on the principal meridian through the vision simulation and the target additional power. A second model is designed by replacing the additional power with a value obtained by the addition of the calculated correction amount to the target additional power.

    Abstract: A spectacle lens including a prism prescription that has an eyeball-side optical surface. When one side is the same side as a prism base direction (nose side) and the other side is an opposite side of the prism base direction with a direction orthogonal to the prism base direction passing through a prism measurement reference point as a boundary, a minimum value of a curvature of the eyeball-side optical surface is on the same side as the prism base direction (nose side). Since a mean curvature becomes smaller in the prism base direction than a mean curvature of the prism measurement reference point and becomes larger in the opposite direction than the mean curvature of the prism measurement reference point across the prism measurement reference point, deviation in line of sight between right and left eyes is resolved.
