Abstract:
A self-closing door structure includes a frame, a door pivotally mounted on the frame, and an arm mounted on the frame and pivoting between two stop positions. A first stop position corresponds to a closed position of the door and the second stop position corresponds to an opened position of the door. Also included is a spring coupled to the arm and acting upon the arm in a direction towards the first stop position when the arm is located in a position between the first stop position and a dead center position of the spring. The arm has a driving element for coupling the motion of the door to that of the arm and is disposed for engaging with an engaging point of the door over the course of a closing motion of the door and for disengaging over the course of an opening motion of the door.
Abstract:
A mechanical door closer (10) that includes a spring (20) mounted in a track (13) to urge the door (11) to a closed position. A brake assembly (24) controls that rate at which the door (11) closes. The brake assembly (24) includes a brake hub (25) that has ramp slots (32) that receive balls (33) that engage a braking shell (34) to cause the braking assembly (24) to frictionally engage the track (13) to thereby control movement of the door (11).
Abstract:
A dishwasher includes a tub, a hinged door for closing the tub, a sealing gasket disposed between the tub and the door, a device control unit, a closing plate connected to the tub and movable by a motor, a latching element disposed on the door, and a closing tab disposed on the closing plate for engaging with the latching element for closing the door and enabling the device control unit to partially open the door. The closing plate is movable into first and second positions to bring the door into respective first and second partially open positions with respective first and second gap widths. The second gap width is larger than the first gap width.
Abstract:
An embodiment of the apparatus relates to a door opening and closing assisting device comprising: a spring force to urge the door in a closed direction when the door is half-opened or less and supplies no closing force when the door is more than half-opened. The assisting device is housed either in the door or the main body. The method relates to assisting in opening and closing a door comprising: elastically deforming a spring in response to the door being opened to a half-opened position; disconnecting the spring force if the door is more than half-opened and reconnecting the spring force to the door when the door is half-opened or less.
Abstract:
A drive assembly in a motorized door opener includes a motor that is mounted on a mounting structure. At least one vibration isolator is provided between the motor and the mounting structure. The vibration isolator includes a first mounting fastener configured to be mounted to a mounting fastener on the motor, a second mounting fastener configured to be mounted to the mounting structure to mount the motor on the mounting structure, and an elastomeric material between the first and second mounting fasteners. The elastomeric material lies between the first and second mounting fasteners so that the isolator's two mounting fasteners are not in physical contact.
Abstract:
A hinge assembly includes a damping unit mounted on a securing seat that is connected to a door frame, a housing embedded in a door panel, and a hinge member and a positioning member interconnecting the securing seat and the housing. The damping unit includes a fluid cylinder and a piston rod having an actuating end pivoted to the positioning member. Due to the presence of the damping unit, movement of the door panel relative to the door frame can be damped.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an air damper for mobile furniture parts, such as drawers or doors, consisting of a cylinder that is open at one end and a piston with seal that is movable in the longitudinal direction in this cylinder and that is connected to a ram. According to the invention, there is a small drilled hole provided in the outer wall of the cylinder near the closed end section of the cylinder.
Abstract:
The sliding door is secured by a locking mechanism in a closed position wherein the sliding panel is held against a frame. When the locking mechanism is released, the weight of the sliding door causes the panel to move away from the frame while tilting the wheels in which the sliding panel slides into tilted positions. The panel is then free to roll along guide rails on the tilted wheels. When in the closed position, seals on the movable panel seal against the frame. During travel of the panel, the seals are in spaced relation to the frame.
Abstract:
A hinge for pieces of furniture comprising a hinge arm (2) and a hinge casing (1) which are connected to each other by means of at least one hinge axle. The hinge arm (2) is provided with a fluid damper (20). The fluid damper is mounted on the side of the hinge arm without the use of a tool.
Abstract:
A hinge for a piece of furniture having a body and a door which is movable relative to the body between an open and a closed position. The hinge has a housing which is to be recessed into the door and which is formed in a surface with a recess and with at least one lateral chamber. A hinge arm is mounted in the recess for movement about a pivot axis normal to its elongation and extends in part out of the recess and beyond the housing for connection with the furniture body. A rocker member is mounted in the recess for rocking movement about an axis extending parallel to the pivot axis, and has a part projecting into the chamber. A spring is received in the chamber engaging the housing and the part and being movable passed a dead-center position between respective end positions in response to the door moving towards the open and closed positions, respectively.
