Abstract:
A tandem belt conveyor system comprising an endless primary conveyor belt, an endless support conveyor belt and a synchronous drive for synchronously driving the primary and support conveyor belts. The primary conveyor belt is a flat wire belt having a carrier flight for transport of articles and a return flight. The support conveyor belt has a support flight for supporting the carrier flight of the primary conveyor belt, and a return flight. The support conveyor belt includes a pair of chains interconnected by transverse cross bars for supporting the primary conveyor belt. The synchronous drive includes an AC motor for driving one of the belts, a DC motor for driving the other belt, and a DC motor controller for controlling the AC and DC motors in master-slave relationship to synchronize the speeds of the belts. The tandem belt conveyor system of the invention avoids the production of metal fines in heating or cooling chambers through which articles such as cans are passed by the conveyor system for curing or other processing of coatings thereon.
Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to conveyor belts and, more particularly, but not by way of limitation, to a conveyor belt having ribs formed on a lower surface thereof for moving particles generally outwardly toward the first and the second sides of link assemblies which form the conveyor belt, and to a conveyor belt constructed of modules shaped so that the interconnections between modules are offset between each link assembly and adjacent link assemblies, and a flight link having curved portions formed the faces thereof so product slides on the surfaces rather than being toppled and a conveyor belt with a tracking product groove to substantially limit lateral movement of the conveyor belt.
Abstract:
An automatic packaging machine comprises a spaced parallel pair of conveyor chains for transporting a plurality of mandrels. A pair of guide rails connected between the conveyor chains for slidably carrying each mandrel, so that a mandrel may be moved in a product transport position to a loading station. At the loading station, the mandrel is thrust forward to confront a box so that the product may be pushed into a box. The mandrel may be made wider to accept product without a precise alignment between mandrel and product or more narrow to fit the product into a box at the loading station. Two cam slots are provided to independently control the thrust position and the width of the mandrel. A stabilization support provides enough play to dissipate centrifugal force and thereby enable the machine to operate at a higher speed.
Abstract:
A chain link conveyor comprising a plurality of identical plastic chain links having eye-shaped hinge parts on opposite side edges, with the eye-shaped hinge parts being arranged so as to enable the neighboring chain links to be coupled by a pin or axle. The eye-shaped hinge parts on the opposite sides of each chain link are mutually displaced and the opposite hinge parts in each chain link are integral with each other by ribs or connecting parts. Transverse parts are integral with the ribs or connecting parts, with at least some of the transverse parts being arranged so as to engage the driving wheels of the chain link conveyor. Each chain link is configured as a fine-meshed grate structure including surface or surface like parts substantially perpendicular to the top and bottom surface of the chain link. An edge constituting the top and bottom surface of the surfaces or surface-like parts have a decreasing thickness and end in edges having a slight thickness.
Abstract:
This invention proposes a handling-switching apparatus in which the pieces to be handled are placed on conveyor tables constituted by rotating carpets that are inclined and set to rotation to unload the piece into collecting vessels suitably preset. A cam device is provided to control the unloading of the piece, which are operated and subsequently brought again to a non-operative position by the carriage itself while moving forward, so as to avoid the risk of breakage.
Abstract:
A trolley assembly is provided including a pair of trolley brackets with an axle extending outwardly from each of the trolley brackets. Bushings adapted to rotatably engage each of the axles are provided with a wheel fixedly attached to each of the bushings. The bushings include an interlock to prevent rotation of the bushing with respect to the wheel. A pendant is attached to the pair of trolley brackets. The components of the trolley assembly can be replaced on a one-to-one basis with parts of prior art trolley assemblies.
Abstract:
In a device for the transportation of objects, in particular of hollow bodies such as aerosol cans, through a washing, rinsing and/or drying zone and/or for the delivery of hollow bodies from one transport element to another, bars (18) are designed to be disposed in parallel on a roller (11), a belt (27) or the like. The mutually aligned side walls of the bars exhibit concave depressions (17), thereby forming a receiving fixture (20) for the hollow body (2).
Abstract:
The invention concerns a process for freezing an article, such as a food according to which said article is contacted with the surface of a porous support which is impregnated with a cryogenic liquid. The invention also concerns a device for freezing an article including a conveyor of porous material, which is insulated by means of an enclosure as well as means for impregnating said conveyor with a cryogenic liquid.
