Abstract:
The present invention aims to provide a novel gene having a reverse transcriptase motif. The invention isolates a novel gene having a reverse transcriptase motif, and gives its complete base sequence determined. The invention also provides a protein encoded by the gene, and an antibody against the protein. The use of them is useful in developing a method for detecting telomerase activity, a method for detecting a cancer cell, a telomerase activity inhibitor, and a method for screening a telomerase activity inhibitor.
Abstract:
A plasma display panel includes a plurality of row electrodes defining rows of a screen. The row electrodes are arranged at intervals so that adjacent row electrodes are capable of serving as an electrode pair for generating a surface discharge. Each of the row electrodes includes a belt-shaped base extending along the full length of the screen in a direction of the rows and protrusions extending from the base toward an adjacent row electrode in every column.
Abstract:
A method for fabricating a semiconductor device using an etching stopper film without increasing a number of steps of photoetching and without degrading the device characteristics. A MOS capacitor having a small coefficient of voltage is formed by forming a thick oxide film which is different from a gate oxide film of a MOS transistor to be formed on the same substrate and by implanting impurity of an amount which will not destroy insulation right under the oxide film. At this time, the electrode of the MOS capacitor is formed by the same layer with that of the gate electrode of the MOS transistor to equalize the height of both the electrodes.

Abstract:
To eliminate a residual image due to residual charge in an image sensor circuit and provide an effective bright-time output, the image sensor is provided with a reset switch connected to a photodiode. After the potential of the photodiode is held through a first amplifier in two holding circuits as an image signal and an initial signal, the initial signal and the image signal are sequentially output through a second amplifier. By resetting the photodiode to a desired potential to produce an initial signal, a residual image can be eliminated.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a heat-sensitive sheet for stencil printing comprising a laminate of a thermoplastic resin film and a porous support mainly composed of synthetic fibers, the sheet having a wet tensile strength in the machine direction of 200 gf/cm or higher, a KES bending rigidity B value in the machine or cross direction of 0.02 g·cm2/cm or higher, and a PPS smoothness determined when a film is pressed against the surface of the porous support of the sheet of 0.9 &mgr;m or higher; the sheet has an excellent runnability, occurrence of wrinkles on the sheet when it is wound around a drum of a stencil printing machine is efficiently prevented, and elongation of the sheet is repressed and occurrence of wrinkles on the sheet can be prevented even when a large number of paper sheets are printed, and thus printed paper sheets having sharp images excellent in reproducibility of a manuscript can be provided.
Abstract:
An organic EL full color display panel includes a plurality of transparent electrode lines formed in parallel on a base plate; an insulating layer formed on the base plate, the insulating layer covering respective edges of the transparent electrode lines and having openings formed correspondingly to pixel regions on the transparent electrode lines; at least one organic EL material layer formed so as to correspond to the pixel regions and having any light-emitting function of R, G and B, and a plurality of metallic electrode lines arranged in parallel perpendicularly to the transparent electrode lines, each of the metallic electrode entirely covering the pixel regions of the three pixels of R, G and B. The insulating layer insulates the transparent electrode lines and metallic electrode lines from each other in other regions than the pixel regions. In this configuration, the organic full color display panel can emit a specified color surely at low cost.
