Abstract: Provided are a user equipment configured to be operated within a particular predetermined band smaller than the entire system band and a base station supporting the user equipment. A reference signal and a downlink control channel on the basis of the reference signal are transmitted to the user equipment within the particular band in a subframe. The downlink control channel is transmitted within one or more orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols except a predetermined number of leading OFDM symbols among OFDM symbols in the subframe. The reference signal is transmitted in at least one of the one or more OFDM symbols.
