A first wireless device configured to operate in a wireless communication system transmits, to a second wireless device, a data unit by using a first resource in a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process. Upon receiving an acknowledgement (ACK) in response to the data unit, the first wireless device clears a second resource to be used for retransmission of the data unit, and flushes a buffer of the HARQ process.
