Abstract: An information processing apparatus learns an attribute-positional relation in a form for learning to create an attribute-positional relation rule for a character string in a form, determines correspondence between a character string in a result of character recognition executed on an image of the form for learning and an attribute in form data for learning based on the form for learning to create a character string attribute model for acquiring a probability of an attribute of the character string in the form, applies the character string attribute model to a character string in a result of character recognition executed on an image of the form to acquire the probability of an attribute, and corrects the probability based on a position in the form of the character string in the result of the character recognition executed on the image of the form and the attribute-positional relation rule.

Abstract: A method and apparatus to implement a unified and decentralized machine interface for control of multi-printer systems is disclosed. A master controller device accepts a selection control from a user indicating a plurality of selected printers from printers connected to the master controller device by a network. The master controller device accepts an operation control from the user, indicating at least one printer operation to be performed on the plurality of selected printers. The master controller broadcasts a simultaneous control signal to the plurality of selected printers with data instructing the printers to immediately perform at least one printer operation, triggering, substantially simultaneously with the broadcasting of the simultaneous control signal, performance of the at least one printer operation at the plurality of selected printers, and performing the at least one printer operation substantially simultaneously at the plurality of selected printers immediately upon receiving the simultaneous control signal.

Abstract: Provided is an image forming system that can find an authenticated image forming apparatus from a mobile terminal. The installation transmitting unit transmits the installation location information to the server. The position acquisition unit acquires position information. The location presentation unit receives the installation location information indicating the installation location of the image forming apparatus close to the position information from the server and presents it to the user. The location acquisition unit acquires installation location information from each of the plurality of image forming apparatuses. When authenticated by the authentication unit, the location search unit searches for the installation location information stored in the storage unit based on the position information and transmits it to the terminal. The confidential document acquisition unit acquires the confidential document in response to an instruction from the terminal authenticated by the server.

The storage (170) stores therein first image data (171) of at least one page of the document read by the reading section (10) before a jam of the document occurs in the conveyance section (20). The controller (160) controls the operation display section (110) to display second image data (172) in association with the first image data (171). The second data (172) is image data of a page of the document read by the reading section (10) after resumption of conveyance of the document on the occasion of occurrence of the jam. The page corresponds to the at least one page that has been already read.
