Abstract:
The inflatable basketball structure includes an inflatable basketball backboard, an inflatable basketball rim, a basketball net, an inflatable supporting pole, and an inflatable safety enclosure. The inflatable basketball structure on a trampoline allows height challenged users the opportunity to slam-dunk and otherwise fulfill athletic basketball fantasies in a safe environment.
Abstract:
Backside conductive layers with increased conductive efficiency can be provided for thermally developable materials by formulating hydrophilic metal oxide clusters in a hydrophobic environment using low shear mixing conditions. The dry thickness and coating weight of the conductive layer are thereby reduced.
Abstract:
A method of determining one or more color characteristics of a colored microsphere comprising: providing a microarray of microspheres, at least one of which has a color characteristic; capturing the microarray with an electronic color image sensor assembly having a matrix of pixels to produce an electronic microarray image; detecting the location of a microsphere within the captured microarray image; and identifying a color characteristic of the detected microsphere.
Abstract:
A signalling switch for use in information protocol telephony is provided, which can initiate, sustain, and terminate a plurality of discrete voice and data calls simultaneously. A plurality of cards are mounted on a computer bus, where the first card is a single board computer whose function is to act as the operations and maintenance control card for the switch. A non-system card functions as a message transport controller card; and there is at least one further non-system card which functions as a master application controller card. Local bus communication among the non-system cards is provided by a local bus found on the message transport controller card. Telephone routing information protocol software is resident in the switch, and the switch communicates externally via Ethernet interfaces. Thus, the signalling switch may be positioned in an information protocol telephony network environment to initiate, sustain, and terminate connections between a client and the network or the network and a client, under the control of the resident telephone routing information protocol software.
Abstract:
A coating composition for making a protein microarray, the composition comprising a gelling agent or a precursor to a gelling agent, and microspheres; the microspheres containing a dye represented by the Formula (1): wherein: R1=one or more substitutent selected from the group of H, chloro, alkoxycarbonyl, arylsulfamoyl, or alkylsulfamoyl; R2=one or more substituent selected from the group of H, carboxamido, or alkoxycarbonyl; R3=one or more substituent selected from the group of H, chloro, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, aryl, carboxamido, or alkoxycarbonyl.
Abstract:
A simulated baseball board game on an inclined simulated miniature field is designed for two players taking offense or defense positions. The offensive player uses a batting mechanism to hit a ball pitched by the defensive player. The defensive player fields the ball if hit. Holes on the playing field retain the ball based on odds of real baseball events. Rules govern contingency events.
Abstract:
Photographically useful radiation-sensitive high chloride {100} tabular grain emulsions containing iodide are disclosed. A high proportion of the {100} tabular grains contain crystal lattice dislocations extending inwardly from their peripheral edges. The dislocations are created by introducing elemental iodine into a high chloride {100} tabular grain emulsion, reducing the iodine to iodide, displacing chloride ions at the peripheral edges of the tabular grains with iodide ions, and then continuing growth of the high chloride {100} tabular grains. The dislocations in the peripheral and, particularly, corner regions of the tabular grains increase their sensitivity.
Abstract:
A process is disclosed of precipitating a high chloride {100} tabular grain photographic emulsion in which iodide incorporation in previously formed grain nuclei is relied upon to create the crystal lattice defects responsible for tabular grain growth. Undesirable dilution of the emulsion is avoided by replacing soluble iodide salt solution addition with iodine solution addition, allowing the volume of the iodine solution to be limited to less than 10 percent of the emulsion volume at the conclusion of tabular grain growth.
