The length of direct-thermal material being rolled on itself.

摘要: A multilayered printed matter includes print layers (pattern layers) formed on a medium and having patterns printed thereon, and a concealing layer interposed between the print layers. The concealing layer conceals the pattern printed on one of the pattern layers not to affect the pattern of the other pattern layer. The concealing layer is formed on a back side relative to the other pattern layer. The print layers between the medium and one of the print layers on the back side of the other pattern layer (back-side print layers) respectively have recessed parts recessed into their surfaces toward the back side. The back-side print layer between the other pattern layer and the medium has a protruding part to fill one of the recessed parts and thereby planarize a surface of the back-side print layer. Hence achieving improved appearance and visual quality of the multilayered printed matter.

A heat-sensitive recording body containing a support, an intermediate layer, and a heat-sensitive color forming layer comprising as main components a leuco dye and a developer, the intermediate layer and the heat-sensitive color forming layer stacked on the support in the order as mentioned, wherein the intermediate layer contains a hollow particle containing a hollow core portion formed by drying a solvent for an alkali-swellable aqueous gel comprising a (meth)acrylic-based copolymer having an acid value of 200 to 400 mgKOH/g, and a resin portion encapsulating the core portion and having a non-alkali-swellable outermost layer of the particle, the non-alkali-swellable outermost layer formed using a hydrophobic monomer, and the hollow particle has an average particle diameter of 1.5 to 3.5 μm and a percentage of hollowness of 60 to 85%.

摘要: A thermal sensitive media for use with labeling or identification methods is disclosed. The thermal sensitive media comprises a media layer and a thermally sensitive record layer formed upon at least one surface of the media layer. The thermally sensitive record layer forms a visually discernable colored image in response to heat. However, the colored image is subject to degradation as a result of exposure to ultraviolet radiation within a known photodegradative wavelength range. An ultraviolet protective coating layer may then disposed over the thermally sensitive record layer. A lamination layer is positioned internal to the media layer and comprises a matrix of micro heating elements driven by radio frequency (RF) power. The matrix of micro heating elements are arranged in a pin array to energize the micro heating elements within the laminated media structure to create a simple numeric image.

摘要: A thermal transfer image-receiving sheet which does not cause printing failure while being provided with tear-off lines. The sheet includes a dye-receiving layer on one side of a backing sheet, a tear-off line provided crossing the sheet along a width direction of the sheet and roller contact areas configured to contact a transport roller of a printer provided on opposite sides in the width direction. In each of the roller contact areas on the opposite sides, the tear-off line is not parallel to the width direction of the thermal transfer image-receiving sheet in an area occupying half or more of the roller contact area in the width direction, and when that segment of the tear-off line which is not parallel to the width direction of the thermal transfer image-receiving sheet has one or more bends in the roller contact area, all the bends are bent at obtuse angles.
