Abstract: A base station may determine a root for a sequence to be included in a signal to a UE. The base station may generate a generalized Chu sequence based on the root and scramble the generalized Chu sequence using a pseudorandom sequence that is common to a plurality of base stations. The base station may transmit the scrambled generalized Chu sequence to indicate the beginning of a downlink transmission. The UE may receive this scrambled generalized Chu sequence and determine if a beginning of a downlink transmission from a serving base station based on the received generalized Chu sequence and an expected generalized Chu sequence.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, via a sensor included within the UE, information associated with a base station. For instance, the UE may receive, via a camera included within the UE, an image of the base station. In some cases, the information associated with the base station may also include environment information identifying an antenna of the base station. The UE may then perform, based on the received information, a beam management procedure to track a UE beam corresponding to a base station beam, and communicate with the base station based on the beam management procedure.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to reserving resources in wireless communication systems, such as those employing listen before talk (LBT). The disclosed methods and apparatus employ a channel reservation preamble used in a sequence of burst or data packet transmissions. The preamble including a channel reservation indication is included in a first data packet transmitted from a first network node. The channel reservation indication is configured to indicate a transmission time reservation of channel resources covering the data packet containing the preamble, a second data packet to be received from a second network node responsive to the first data packet, and at least a portion of a third data packet transmitted from the first network node subsequent to the transmission of the second data packet. In this manner, over-reservation of channel resources is mitigated. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to communicating using dynamic uplink and downlink transmission time interval (TTI) switching in a wireless network. A notification can be received from a network entity of switching a configurable TTI from downlink communications to uplink communications. The configurable TTI can be one of a plurality of TTIs in a frame structure that allows dynamic switching of configurable TTIs between downlink and uplink communications within a frame. Additionally, uplink communications can be transmitted to the network entity during the configurable TTI based at least in part on the notification.

Abstract: Multiple base stations, which may be controlled by different network operators, share a transmission medium to serve multiple user equipment (UE). A first base station determines that the shared communication medium is free. The first base station transmits, during a first medium access slot on the shared communication medium, a pre-grant for a first UE associated with the first base station. The first UE transmits a response message during the first medium access slot. Optionally, a second base station may join the transmission by transmitting a pre-grant to a second UE during a subsequent medium access slot.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication. A transmitting device may send a signal including multiple transport blocks corresponding to multiple simultaneous hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes. Additional control information may be used to support the multiple simultaneous HARQ processes. For instance, the additional control information may indicate the number of available HARQ processes, an activity state for each HARQ process (e.g., active new data, active retransmission, or inactive), and the redundancy versions of each HARQ process. In some cases, the additional control information may be included in a downlink grant. A receiving device may respond with an acknowledgement or negative acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) for each of the transport blocks. The transmitting device may identify a retransmission status for each HARQ process based on the ACK/NACKs, and transmit new redundancy versions (or new data) to the receiving device.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to performing random backoff over multiple spatial dimensions in spatial listen-before-talk (LBT) procedures are provided. A first wireless communication device determines a first backoff counter for contending for a transmission opportunity (TXOP) in a communication medium over a first spatial subspace. The first wireless communication device detects a transmission in the TXOP within the first spatial subspace. The first wireless communication device determines a second backoff counter for contending for the TXOP over a second spatial subspace that is different from the first spatial subspace based on the detecting. The second spatial subspace is part of the first spatial subspace and the detected transmission is in a different spatial subspace than the second spatial subspace.

The first wireless device may calculate a transmit precoder based at least in part on the clear to send signal. The first wireless device may transmit a request to send signal precoded by the transmit precoder to initiate communications with a third wireless device without significantly interfering with ongoing communications at the second wireless device.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for transmitting and detecting channel reservation preamble in a NR shared spectrum are described. An aspect may include determining whether a first reservation preamble of a first operator is received on a first time slot of multiple time slots of a downlink channel from a first network entity, and transmitting a second reservation preamble of the first operator on an uplink channel to the second network entity. Another aspect may include generating a first reservation preamble of a first operator based on at least one of a compressed representation in a signal space, a basis function of the signal space, or a CAZAC sequences; and transmitting, on a first timeslot of multiple time slots of a downlink channel, the first reservation preamble of the first operator to at least a UE. In another aspect, the SFN transmission of the first and second reservation preambles, and the low latency detection methods of the reservation preambles have been disclosed.
