Abstract: An initiator device is provided with a generation circuit for supporting Single User (SU)-Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) operation and generating a first signal including a value that indicates which of a reciprocal MIMO phase and a non-reciprocal MIMO phase is to be applied to SU-MIMO BF training, and a transmission circuit for transmitting the first signal to a responder device. The responder device is provided with a reception circuit for receiving the first signal from the initiator device, and a processing circuit for determining on the basis of the value which of the reciprocal MIMO phase and the non-reciprocal MIMO phase is to be applied to SU-MIMO BF training.

Abstract: An invention relates to methods for transmitting a buffer status report (BSR) in a mobile communication system, more particularly to the definition of rules for triggering, generating and transmitting BSRs. The invention also relates to a data transmission method utilizing new rules to decide data of which radio bearers is transmitted within a given transmission time interval. Moreover, the invention relates to scheduling method for radio resources that is taking into account additional scheduling-relevant information from the buffer status reporting and/or data transmission method. To avoid unnecessary grants from the network and to suggest an advanced handling of data transmissions the invention suggests a buffer status reporting and data transmission schemes that take into account the scheduling mode of data of radio bearers pending for transmission to decide whether to report on it in a buffer status report, respectively, whether to multiplex the data to a transport block for transmission.

Abstract: An encoder includes circuitry and memory. Using the memory, the circuitry performs a primary transform on a derived prediction error, performs a secondary transform on a result of the primary transform, quantizes a result of the secondary transform, and encodes a result of the quantization as data of an image. Abstract: An encoder that; obtains two prediction images by performing motion compensation using two motion vectors; obtains a gradient value of each of pixels included in the two prediction images; derives a local motion estimation value for each of sub-blocks based on the pixel value and the gradient value of each of the pixels, the sub-blocks being obtained by partitioning the current block; and generates a final prediction image for the current block using the pixel value and the gradient value of each of the pixels, and the local motion estimation value derived for each of the sub-blocks. Each of the pixels in the two prediction images is interpolated with sub-pixel accuracy, and a reference range for the interpolation is included in a normal reference range that is referred to for motion compensation for the current block in normal inter prediction performed without using the local motion estimation value.
