Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A reconfigurable reflective surface may exploit signals transmitted from a user equipment (UE) to communicate feedback to a base station. For example, the surface may communicate feedback by reflecting two or more reference signals according to two or more configurations. In some cases, the two or more configurations may be phase shifted relative each other. In another example, the surface may communicate feedback by altering the intensity of or more reference signals transmitted from the UE. In yet another example, the surface may communicate feedback to the base station by reflecting reference signals towards one or more antenna arrays. In some cases, the one or more antenna arrays may be located at a single base station. In some other cases, the one or more antenna arrays may be located at multiple base stations or multiple transmission/reception points.

Abstract: A transmitter may be configured to transmit, to a receiver, information configuring a repetition pattern of at least one of a common part of a rate-splitting multiple access (RSMA) message or a private part of the RSMA message. The transmitter may be further configured to transmit, to the receiver, at least one repetition of the at least one of the common part or the private part of the RSMA message according to the repetition pattern. The receiver may be configured to receive the information configuring the repetition pattern. The receiver may be further configured to receive, from the transmitter, at least one repetition of the at least one of the common part of the RSMA message or the private part of the RSMA message after receiving the information configuring the repetition pattern.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system for barring at least one UE from communicating with one or more RISs is disclosed. A base station may determine to bar at least one UE from communicating with one or more RISs of a plurality of RISs. The base station may transmit, to the at least one UE, a barring indication for the one or more RISs. The barring indication may identify the one or more RISs with which the at least one UE is barred from communicating. The UE may determine to refrain from communicating with the one or more RISs based on the barring indication. The UE may communicate with the base station based on the determination to refrain from communicating with the one or more RISs.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer program products for wireless communication are provided. An example method may include receiving, from a second network entity, one or more LP reference signal (LP RS) resources, where the one or more LP RS resources are configured for at least one of: time or frequency tracking or synchronization, time or frequency error estimation or correction, radio resource management (RRM), or channel estimation. The example method may further include receiving a LP wake up signal (LP WUS) based on the one or more LP RS resources, where the LP WUS is associated with one or more monitoring occasions, where the LP WUS is quasi-co-located with at least one of the one or more LP RS resources, and where the LP WUS is associated with a first configuration and the at least one LP RS resource is associated with a second configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a configuration (e.g., via control signaling) of a set of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs). The UE may select a primary RIS for bidirectional wireless communication (e.g., uplink and downlink) and one or more secondary RISs for unidirectional wireless communication (e.g., uplink or downlink) based on the configuration. The UE may use the one or more secondary RISs to enable higher throughput and extended coverage in the wireless communication system. The UE may communicate with the base station using the primary RIS, or the secondary RIS, or both.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first dormancy indication and a second dormancy indication. The UE may communicate in a wireless network based at least in part on associating the first dormancy indication with a first dormancy state of a first network entity in the wireless network and associating the second dormancy indication with a second dormancy state of a second network entity in the wireless network. Numerous other aspects are described.
