    Abstract: An actuator assembly (100) for moving a sliding door or window (10), the actuator assembly (100) including: a motor assembly (110) attachable to a frame (20) of the sliding door or window (10); a rod (120) driveable by the motor assembly (110), the rod (120) having a thread (122); a block (130) that is engaged with and driveable by the thread (122) of the rod (120); a connector (150) engaged at a first end (152), with the block (130), and engageable at a second end (154) with the sliding door or window (10), such that actuation of the motor assembly (110) to drive the rod (120) causes movement of the block (130) along the rod (120), which causes movement of the connector (150) for moving the sliding door or window (10).

    Abstract: A transmission assembly for converting a garage door operator (GDO) from a ceiling mounted configuration to a jackshaft configuration may include an output coupler for operably coupling a drive tube rotatable to alternately open and close a sectional door, a pinion assembly operably coupled to the output coupler via a flexible coupling member, a releasable coupling assembly, a handle, and a cam operated engagement assembly. The releasable coupling assembly may be operably coupled to a motor output shaft of a GDO motor. The releasable coupling assembly may have an engaged state in which rotation of the motor output shaft is transferred to the pinion assembly and a disengaged state in which the rotation of the motor is not transferred to the pinion assembly. The cam operated engagement assembly may be operably coupled to the handle and the releasable coupling assembly to transition the releasable coupling assembly between the engages state and the disengaged state based on a position of the handle.

    Abstract: A hinge mechanism includes at least two hinge modules and at least one switching assembly disposed between the adjacent two hinge modules and including a first and second rotating members rotating coaxially with respect to each other. The first rotating member is coaxially disposed at one of the adjacent hinge modules to rotate synchronously. The second rotating member is coaxially disposed at the other one of the adjacent hinge modules to rotate synchronously. The first rotating member has a first driving portion, and the second rotating member has a second driving portion. The first and second driving portions are located on rotating paths of each other, and an idle stroke is provided between the first and second driving portions along the rotating paths. When the first driving portion and the second driving portion pass through the idle stroke, torque forces generated by the adjacent two hinge modules are disconnected.
