摘要: Embodiments of the invention provide a method, distributed antenna system, and components that generate a jitter reduced clock signal from a binary encoded data stream transmitted over a communication medium. The method includes receiving a modulated signal that includes the binary encoded data stream and generating a recovered clock signal that is phase locked to the binary encoded data stream. The method further comprises generating a stable recovered clock signal by filtering the recovered clock signal to remove jitter, while allowing the clock signal to track long-term drift.

摘要: A signal repeating element for repeating a signal includes a housing, at least one transmit antenna element positioned on one side of the housing and at least one receive antenna element positioned on the same one side of the housing. Receiver and transmitter circuitry is coupled with respective ones of the receive and transmit antenna elements. Phase circuitry for affecting the phase of signals from the at least one receive antenna element and at least one transmit antenna element is coupled between the respective receive or transmit antenna element and the receiver or transmitter circuitry.

摘要: An input signal is pre-distorted to reduce distortion resulting from subsequent signal amplification. Frequency-dependent pre-distortion is preferably implemented in combination with frequency-independent pre-distortion, where the frequency-dependent pre-distortion is generated by expanding the derivative of a product of a pre-distortion function and the input signal and then relaxing constraints on the pre-distortion function and/or on frequency-dependent filtering associated with the frequency-dependent pre-distortion. In one implementation, four different frequency-dependent pre-distortion signals are generated for the expansion using up to four different pre-distortion functions and up to four different frequency-dependent filters.

摘要: A coaxial connector is combined with an inner conductor interconnection cap, for interconnection with a coaxial cable. The interconnection cap is provided with a bore adapted to seat upon and circumferentially contact an outer diameter of the inner contact and an outer diameter of the inner conductor. The interconnection cap extends along the inner contact to cover at least a contact portion at a cable end of the inner contact to enclose an interconnection between the inner conductor and the inner contact. Sealant may be applied to the interconnection to improve seal performance and the dimensions and materials of the interconnection cap may be adjusted to modify characteristic impedance for return loss optimization with respect to specific coaxial cables.

摘要: A multiband antenna is provided having a longitudinal ground plane and several linear arrays of radiating elements mounted on the ground plane. A first set of first radiating elements may be disposed lengthwise along a center of the ground plane. The first radiating elements may be dimensioned to operate in a first frequency band, such a frequency range of about 790-960 MHz. A second set of second radiating elements may also be disposed lengthwise along the center of the ground plane. The second radiating elements may be dimensioned to operate in a second frequency band, such as a frequency range of about 1710-2170 MHz. A third set of third radiating elements is disposed lengthwise on the ground plane on a first side of the first and second sets of radiating elements. The third radiating elements may be dimensioned to operate at a third frequency band, such as about 2.5-2.7 GHz and/or 3.4-3.8 GHz. The fourth set of fourth radiating elements is disposed lengthwise on the ground plane on a second side of the first and second sets of radiating elements. The fourth radiating elements are dimensioned to operate in the same frequency band as the third radiating elements.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for compensating for analog distortion in telecommunication systems. In one aspect, a system is provided for communicating signals having frequencies in multiple frequency bands between at least one base station and at least one terminal device. The system includes a transport section, a digital filter, and a processing device. The transport section includes an analog filter. The analog filter can reduce interference from interfering signals having frequencies in frequency bands adjacent to received signals from an antenna by filtering the received signals. The processing device can modify filter coefficients of the digital filter. The digital filter with the modified filter coefficients can compensate for distortion in the received signals caused by the analog filter.

摘要: A repeater and associated method of use includes at least one antenna element for communicating in one direction and at least one antenna element for communicating in another direction. A radio frequency uplink path and a radio frequency downlink path are coupled between the antennas. At least one of the radio frequency uplink path or the radio frequency downlink path includes an adaptive cancellation circuit. The adaptive cancellation circuit is configured to generate a cancellation signal without requiring an injected signal. The cancellation signal, when added to a radio frequency signal in the respective uplink and downlink paths, substantially reduces feedback signals present in the radio frequency signal.
