Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a user request from a first user from a client system associated with a first user, wherein the user request comprise a gesture-input from the first user and a speech-input from the first user, determining an intent corresponding to the user request based on the gesture-input by a personalized gesture-classification model associated with the first user, executing one or more tasks based on the determined intent and the speech-input, and sending instructions for presenting execution results of the one or more tasks to the client system responsive the user request.

Abstract: A method implemented by a computing device includes rendering on a first display and a second display of the computing device an extended reality (XR) environment, and determining a context of the XR environment with respect to a user. Determining the context includes determining characteristics associated with each eye of the user with respect to virtual content displayed within the XR environment. The method includes determining, based on the characteristics, a mapping of a first set of coordinates of the virtual content as displayed on the first display and a second set of coordinates of the virtual content as displayed on the second display, generating, based on the mapping of the first set of coordinates and the second set of coordinates, composite virtual content to be rendered on the first display and the second display; and re-rendering on the first display and the second display the composite virtual content.

Abstract: A method and system for generating versions of assets comprising various levels of detail is provided. The method includes receiving, at a client device, a first input representation of an asset at a lowest level of detail and a second input representation of an asset at a highest level of detail. The method further includes analyzing the first model input and the second model input and identifying a set of parameters based thereon. The method further includes generating a plurality of models representing the asset with different intermediate levels of detail based on the set of parameters, displaying, at the client device, a model from the plurality of models based on a proximity of the asset from a viewpoint of the user in a virtual environment.

Abstract: An audio system controls feedback when beamforming an output for production by transducers by generating a beamforming output signal based on audio from a first set and a second set of acoustic sensors. The first set may include acoustic sensors that may experience feedback from the transducers. The second set may exclude the acoustic sensors that cause feedback. The beamforming output from each set are combined as a weighted combination based on a beamforming coefficient that may be dynamically set to increase contribution of the first set until the combined output causes feedback, enabling the total beamforming output to benefit from a larger set of acoustic sensors while avoiding detrimental feedback. The interaural characteristics of the external environment may also be analyzed and the beamforming output modified to increase a difference in the interaural characteristic and thereby increase perception of the beamforming output.

Abstract: Methods and systems described herein are directed to a virtual personal interface (herein “personal interface”) for controlling an artificial reality (XR) environment, such as by providing user interfaces for interactions with a current XR application, providing detail views for selected items, navigating between multiple virtual worlds without having to transition in and out of a home lobby for those worlds, executing aspects of a second XR application while within a world controlled by a first XR application, and providing 3D content that is separate from the current world. While in at least one of those worlds, the personal interface can itself present content in a runtime separate from the current virtual world, corresponding to an item, action, or application for that world. XR applications can be defined for use with the personal interface to create both a 3D world portion and 2D interface portions that are displayed via the personal interface.

Abstract: Methods and corresponding systems and apparatuses for time-aligning a first set of measurement samples captured by a first sensor to a second set of measurement samples captured by a second sensor. Each sensor captures samples at regular intervals corresponding to a respective sampling period. The sensors directly or indirectly measure at least one reference signal. Each reference signal includes a reference marker followed by a sequence of alignment pulses. In the case of multiple reference signals, the sequence of alignment pulses can differ, but the reference marker can be identical. In some implementations, time-alignment involves assigning a timestamp to a first alignment pulse in the first set of measurement samples, relative to the reference marker in the first set of measurement samples and assigning a second timestamp to a second alignment pulse in the second set of measurement samples, relative to the reference marker in the second set of measurement samples.

Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method for a lens assembly for a head-mounted device includes a frame and a lens assembly. The lens assembly is configured to be carried by the frame. The edge thickness includes a predetermined thickness value that is configured to be compatible with (e.g., a slot in) the frame. The power layer is configured to be set to one of a number of predetermined power levels while maintaining the edge thickness within the predetermined thickness value. The power layer is configured to define a course power level of the lens assembly (e.g., in the range of −6.00 D to +6.00 D).

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and method for using a cellular communication chain integrated with RFID wireless communication to communicate with an external RFID tag and a cellular wireless base station. A front end circuit can receive a first RF signal as input and can provide, as output, a processed first RF signal for wireless communication via a cellular network and be a low-band signal. An RFID circuit can generate a second RF signal for wireless communication with an RF identifier tag. A switch circuit or one or more toggle switches can be configured to route the processed first RF signal for transmission via an antenna for the wireless communication via the cellular network and route the second RF signal for transmission via the antenna for the wireless communication with the RF identifier tag.
