摘要： Disclosed herein is a conveyor intended for travel along an intended direction on a given path, having laterally spaced and opposed sides, and comprising a chain pin, a first link module including a first plurality of laterally spaced eyes which respectively have therein aligned first bores receiving the chain pin, and which define a series of spaces, and a second link module including a second plurality of laterally spaced eyes which respectively have therein aligned second bores receiving the chain pin to prevent disconnection of the first and second modules, and which are received in the spaces between the first plurality of eyes so as to engage the first plurality of eyes in such manner as to directly transmit tension in the direction of conveyor movement between the first and second link modules at laterally spaced multiple places between the conveyor sides.

摘要： The invention provides a conveying apparatus including an upstream conveyor, a downstream conveyor oriented perpendicularly to the upstream conveyor to form a butt turn, and a mechanism for transferring conveyed articles from the upstream conveyor to the downstream conveyor. The transfer mechanism includes guide rails that provide a corner to change the direction of travel of the conveyed articles and a transfer assist conveyor for supporting the articles as they travel between the upstream and downstream conveyors. The transfer assist conveyor runs alongside the upstream conveyor and has a cantilevered section that extends over the sprocket location of the downstream conveyor to perform the function of a prior art static transfer plate.

摘要： The magnetic air gap in a spring set brake, SSB, is set independently of the length of the legs spacing the pressure plate from the pole face which controls the axial travel length of the armature between a released position engaging the pole face and a braking position pushing a friction disc against the pressure plate. The legs have radially inwardly facing mounting surfaces engaging and retaining the pressure plate. The legs have axially extending line contact guide surfaces for the armature, minimizing magnetic flux leakage through the legs to the armature, and instead concentrating magnetic flux at the pole face to maximize magnetic force attracting the armature. An injection molded friction disc is provided, as well as a keyed hubless design. A manual release mechanism is also provided. An energization coil is provided enabling simplified connection lead bonding.

摘要： A process for making an individual thrust bearing assembly having an inner race and a filament wound outer race integrally formed on the inner race for rotation relative thereto and to resist axial thrust loads and the bearing made thereby. To perform the process a mandrel is provided. An inner race that includes an outer peripheral surface having a bearing quality finish and one or more annular inner race axial thrust resisting areas is mounted on the mandrel. The formation of the outer race is initiated by applying a hardenable thixotropic resin to the outer peripheral surface of the inner race to fill the annular inner race axial thrust resisting areas and to form outer race axial thrust resisting areas mating with the inner race axial thrust resisting areas. The outer race is completed by applying an overlayment of filament wound fibers on the peripheral surface after application of the thixotropic resin to provide an unhardened elongated cylindrical member having an exterior surface of desired outside dimension with the annular inner race axial thrust resisting areas filled with the thixotropic resin. The cylindrical member is hardened to form a hardened outer race wherein the annular outer race axial thrust resisting areas comprise the hardened thixotropic resin.

摘要： A process for producing a plurality of bearing members each of which has a bore defined by an inner bearing surface of self-lubricating material containing lubrication grooves that open into the bore. To perform the process a mandrel is provided having an axial length, spaced apart ends and an outer surface, and one or more rod members is affixed on the outer surface. A parting agent is applied to the mandrel outer surface and rod members and a layer of self-lubricating material is layered over the outer surface and rod members. A filament wound overlayment is applied on top of the layer of self-lubricating material along with a hardenable resin to bond the layer of self-lubricating material and overlayment together. The resin is hardened to form a rigid elongated tube member and the mandrel and rods are removed to expose the inner bearing surface and lubrication grooves. The rigid tube is then severed transversely into a plurality of individual bearing members.
