    摘要: An arm robot apparatus for removing workpieces such as injected molded articles includes a gripping device mounted on an arm and a race member mounted on the arm for circulating balls. The race member includes an inner part and an outer part. A ball race spindle is located inside the race member and extends along a longitudinal axis of the race member. A mounting block which is mounted on a supporting plate is attached to a first end of the ball race spindle. A second end of the ball race spindle has at least two semicircular ball races formed therein. The inner part and the outer part of the race members are interconnected in such a way that ball races of a circular cross-section are formed. The ball races are designed in such a manner that the balls arranged in the races contact the inner part and the outer part of the race member. The inner part of the race member also includes pre-tensioning channels in which balls are received for displacement and movement. The pre-tensioning channels are shaped in such a way that the balls contact the inner part and the ball race spindle. Further, the pre-tensioning channels are interconnected in a sine wave fashion and are alternatingly arranged around the race member. The balls are displaceable and moveable through the ball races and through the pre-tensioning channels around the ball race spindle. The race member is mounted to a movable plate so that movement of the movable plate causes the race member to rotate around the ball race spindle.

    摘要: The apparatus includes a steeped axially displaceable piston in a stepped cylinder housing, and a rotary shaft is axial fixed relative to the housing and extends into the piston reduced diameter end portion. The piston reduced diameter portion and the housing having a cooperating set of first teeth while the piston and shaft have a cooperating set of second teeth whereby at least one set of the teeth serve to convert axial movement of the piston into rotary motion of the shaft. The shaft is supported in the housing adjacent where it exits from the housing by a first bearing while a second bearing is provide radial adjacent to the juncture of the housing enlarged and reduced diameter portions that supports the interior end portion of the shaft in the piston reduced diameter portion. A third radial bearing is provided between the enlarged diametric portion and the piston enlarged diametric portion in axial remote relationship to the first bearing. A fourth radial bearing is provided between the piston reduced portion and the housing and in the housing reduced diameter portion adjacent its juncture with the enlarged diametric portion. As a result when a radial force acts on the shaft exterior of the housing, the resulting torque is taken up by the first and second bearings.

    摘要: A self-energizing brake which includes opposed rocker arms attached to a frame by a bolt or the like. The rocker arms also include a housing extending transversely therefrom which is rotatable about the bolt. The housing encloses a tubular member having a plurality of helical ridges which mate with a plurality of bearings disposed about the inner surface of the housing. The housing is axially movable relative to the bolt. The housing is sealed about the bolt by O-rings and contains a lubricant such as grease. Friction pads extend from each rocker arm adjacent the rim of a tire to contact the rotating rim as the rocker arms are related. Such rotation results in movement of the housing in an axial direction as the rim drags the friction pads forward. This axial motion of the housings caused by the drag of the friction pads on the tire rim is transferred into rotational motion of the rocker arms by the cooperating relationship of helical ridges and bearings to thereby increase the pressure of the friction pads against the tire rim.

    摘要: The vertical slide in the latch linkage of an exit device is coupled for vertical movement together with a channel inside the door stile. The channel holds a pair of blocks having inclined surfaces held in touching relation and relatively slideable. The vertical latch-operating rod is attached to the first of the blocks and the other block is secured to the channel by a horizontally disposed threaded adjusting element. The side walls of the channel restrict the first of the blocks from lateral but not vertical movement. The other block is restricted from lateral movement only by the threaded element, and turning the threaded element moves that block from side to side in the channel to raise or lower the first block as the inclined surfaces slide. This changes the effective length of the rod. The turning of the threaded element may be done from the outside of the door through an access hole.
