    Abstract: An electronic unit includes an electrolytic capacitor, a covering resin layer, and electronic components. The electrolytic capacitor is on an upper surface of an insulating substrate. The covering resin layer covers the upper surface of the insulating substrate and the electronic components. Part of the covering resin layer serves as an electrolytic capacitor covering portion. The electrolytic capacitor covering portion includes an outer peripheral covering portion that covers an outer peripheral surface of the electrolytic capacitor and a top covering portion that covers a top portion of the electrolytic capacitor. A thin wall groove is formed in the top covering portion. The outer peripheral covering portion extends upward beyond the top covering portion by a height h. The top covering portion easily breaks at the thin wall groove so that an explosion-proof valve easily operates. A region corresponding to the height h creates an operating space of the explosion-proof valve.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for providing direction guidance to a traveler navigating off-road are disclosed. In some embodiments, different modes of direction guidance are provided depending on a deviation distance from a pre-recorded, off-road track. A pre-recorded track can be generated from an ordered list of locations. A real-time deviation distance between the traveler and the track can be determined. Based at least in part on the real-time deviation distance, the system determines whether the traveler is on track. If the traveler has deviated, the system may provide direction guidance toward a location where the traveler deviated from the track. The system may determine that the traveler has deviated too far from the track and provide direction guidance toward a closest point on the track. The system can display direction guidance on a vehicle-mounted display and/or on a mobile device.

    Abstract: Provided is an operating apparatus having a feedback mechanism. An apparatus main body is supported on a base using a plurality of plurality of supporting metal plates. Each of the supporting metal plates includes a first mounting piece, a second mounting piece, and an intermediate plate. When a pressing force of a finger on an operating surface of the apparatus main body acts, the intermediate plate is deformed to depress the apparatus main body, thereby operating a detecting member. When a feedback force from the feedback mechanism acts on the apparatus main body, the second mounting piece is bent to move the apparatus main body along the feedback force.

    Abstract: An overvoltage protection device includes a resistor that is connected in series between an internal signal line connected to a communication terminal of a processor and a communication line, a diode of which a cathode is connected to the internal signal line and an anode is connected to a ground, and a PNP transistor of which a base is connected to a power supply terminal, an emitter is connected to the internal signal line, and a collector is connected to the ground. When a base-emitter voltage (a junction saturation voltage) of the transistor in operation is defined as VBE and a power source is turned on (a voltage V1) by the operation of the transistor, a voltage of the internal signal line is limited to the source voltage V1+VBE. When the power source is turned off (a voltage 0 V), the voltage of the internal signal line is limited to the source voltage 0 V+VBE.

    Abstract: An error path characteristic model correction control unit determines the deviation of the phase of an actual transfer function from the phase of an error path characteristic model, from a cross correlation between an error signal output from a microphone and a signal in which the error path characteristic model is applied to a noise cancellation sound to be output and a cross correlation between the error signal and a signal in which a transfer function having a phase characteristic deviating by +90 degrees from the phase characteristic of the error path characteristic model is applied to the noise cancellation sound. The error path characteristic model correction control unit then corrects the error path characteristic model so that the determined deviation is reduced to ±90 degrees.

    Abstract: An acoustic apparatus may include a frame having an axially-opening annular open portion; a diaphragm supported by being attached to the annular open portion via a flexible edge member so as to be capable of vibrating in the axial direction; and a driving unit connected, at a connection portion at a center portion of the diaphragm, to the diaphragm to apply an axial-direction driving force to the diaphragm. The diaphragm includes first and second diaphragms that are mutually adjacent in the axial direction and joined together. When viewed in the axial direction, the second diaphragm has an outer diameter smaller than that of the first diaphragm. Each diaphragm includes a sheet member having an orientation dispersion structure including a shape-anisotropic filler dispersed in a resin with the long axis thereof oriented in a predetermined direction. The orientation directions of the sheet members of the first and second diaphragms mutually intersect.
