摘要: A method and system for the estimation of the effect of packet loss on a viewer's subjective perception of a packet video stream. The method involves estimating a quality metric for every frame in the video stream, accumulating such metrics over time, and transforming the result into a Mean Opinion Score (“MOS”) which represents the viewer's subjective perception of the video stream. The method takes into account various factors such as frame rate, frame types and sizes, decoding algorithms, propagated error rates, and the effect of video content on viewer perception. The method can be used for both encrypted and unencrypted video streams.

摘要: A rotating exercise device is provided. In various embodiments, the rotating exercise device includes a stationary pedestal and a gearbox rotatably mounted to the pedestal such that the gearbox is rotatable about a longitudinal axis of the pedestal. The rotating exercise device additionally includes a user seat mounted to a top of the gearbox and a user operable drive mechanism that is operably connected to the gear box. The user operable drive mechanism is structured and operable to, via control and operation of a user sitting on the seat, impart rotational force on the stationary pedestal to cause the gear box, seat and user to rotate about the longitudinal axis of the pedestal as the user operates the user operable drive mechanism.

摘要: Noise compensation in controlled source electromagnetics (CSEM) comprises measuring time-varying magnetic gradients of the marine environment subjected to CSEM. From the measured magnetic gradients, oceanographic electric and magnetic field noise is determined and used for noise compensation of CSEM measurements of electric and magnetic fields. Selection of magnetic gradient measurement provides improved measurement of oceanographic magnetic noise as other electromagnetic noise sources produce negligible magnetic gradients in the marine environment. Electric field noise is then predicted from the magnetic measurements.

摘要: A method and apparatus for fluffer environmental control in an image production device is disclosed. The method may include determining a media type to be used for processing a print job, determining a target relative humidity for the determined media type, measuring an ambient temperature and relative humidity, determining whether air blown from a media stack fluffer needs to be heated based on the determined target relative humidity and the measured ambient temperature and relative humidity, wherein if it is determined that the fluffer air needs to be heated, heating the fluffer air to reach target relative humidity, and processing the print job.
