摘要: Terminal station return loop device for vehicles, containers or platforms driven continuously along a transport system, which comprises essentially a chain conveyor forming a loop having a relatively short radius of curvature and passing over a platform driven at the same speed as the conveyor, and at least one vehicle equipped with two trains of wheels, i.e. carrier wheels rolling on a fixed rail of the transport line which terminates at the inlet of the platform with a bevelled end, and drive wheels engaging the conveyor chain at the end of an endless belt driving shoes supporting the vehicle when the carrier wheels leave the rail for slipping on the platform by means of their edges.

摘要: A crosslapper receives a card web and folds it into a lap intended to be needle-punched or consolidated by other means. The web comprises zones which are more condensed, having a spectrum of orientation of fibres with a component parallel to the width of the web, alternating with less condensed zones having a longitudinal unidirectional spectrum of orientations. The zones which are less condensed are used to form the edge zones of the lap. The result is that the lap has different respective spectra of orientation which pre-compensate for the unwanted changes produced by the needle-punching or other consolidation which follows. A needle-punched lap is obtained having a uniform MD/CD ratio (relationship between longitudinal and respectively transverse tensile strengths) or having a sought profile of the MD/CD ratio across the width of the lap.

摘要: The invention concerns an optical fibre connector (15, 18) for high pressure (P) environments. Said connector comprises means for maintaining (1, 2, 19b) the respective ends of the fibres, facing one another. The invention is characterised in that it further comprises a sleeve (3) enclosing the fibre ends, and a translucent gel (4), provided in the sleeve to soak the space (4b) separating the fibre ends (15, 18). Moreover, by maintaining itself by capillary action in said space (4b) the gel seals off the connection with environment. The ambient pressure (P) then acts on one free end of the sleeve (3) while maintaining the gel (4) in the sleeve.

摘要: This invention relates to a transportation system comprising vehicles moved on a conveyor, guided and partly supported by wheels rolling on a guiding rail, and provided with at least one braked wheel coming into contact with braking ramps transferring the vehicles from the conveyor to stations, and with launching ramps transferring the vehicles from the station to the conveyor. A load carrying platform is connected at its corners by vertically elastic coupling members to an underframe wherein supporting and guiding members are fastened, transmitting its weight to a center of articulation where it leans on the underframe; and a braking assembly is located straight below the center of articulation in such a manner as to transmit the leaning reaction to braking members liable to come into contact with longitudinal track components.
