Abstract:
A transfer unit-fixing apparatus to integrally fix a transfer unit on a door, and an image forming device having the same are disclosed. The transfer unit-fixing apparatus includes a position fixing unit to pivotally support a first part of the transfer unit on the door and a locking unit to lock a second part of the transfer unit to the door. The transfer unit can be easily assembled and disassembled to and from the door by the position fixing unit and the locking unit, and thus the image forming device can be easily assembled, maintained and repaired.
Abstract:
A paper feeding apparatus of a printer is provided and includes a double feed prevention unit. The paper feeding apparatus includes a finger unit for generating a curl at a front edge portion of the paper picked up by the pick-up roller. The finger unit presses the front edge portion of the paper that is mounted on the knock-up plate. A ventilation device is also provided to form an air gap under the picked paper by injecting air in the air chamber toward the front edge portion of the paper.
Abstract:
A tension adjuster for a belt of image forming apparatus is provided. The tension adjuster of the belt includes a tension roller which rotates in contact with an inner surface of the belt. A fixed shaft is disposed a predetermined distance away from the tension roller. A pair of swing arms connect the fixed shaft to a shaft of the tension roller. A tension unit rotates the swing arm on a circumference of the fixed shaft in a first direction so that the tension roller produces a tension on the belt. A tension releasing unit applies torque to the swing arm on the circumference of the fixed shaft in a second direction opposite to the first direction. When the belt rotates, torque generated by the tension unit is greater than the torque generated by the tension releasing unit. When the belt is stopped, the belt is released by the torque of the tension releasing unit.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a shaft, a shaft support portion rotatably supporting the shaft, a shaft gear provided at an end portion of the shaft in a lengthwise direction, and a first gear engaged with the shaft gear and rotating the shaft gear. The rotation of the first gear applies a force acting toward the shaft support potion and the shaft contacts the shaft support portion by the force during rotation so that vibration of the shaft is restricted. An image forming apparatus includes a case having a door that can be opened and closed, a shaft provided in the case, a shaft support portion rotatably supporting the shaft, a shaft gear provided at an end portion of the shaft in a lengthwise direction, and a first gear engaged with the shaft gear and rotating the shaft gear. The first gear is engaged with the shaft gear when the door is closed and disengaged from the shaft gear when the door is open.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for compensating image skew and an electro-photographic image forming apparatus including the same are provided. Image skew of a toner image transferred onto a paper is compensated for by inclining a photosensitive medium onto which a light beam is scanned to be parallel to a scanning line of the light beam. A first inclination member including a first inclined surface facing upward and a second inclination member including a second inclined surface contacting and facing the first inclined surface are provided, wherein a position of a shaft of the photosensitive medium is adjusted by moving at least one of the first and second inclination members. Image skew of a toner image is sensed, and a photosensitive medium onto which a light beam is scanned is inclined to correspond to a scanning line skew of the light beam.
Abstract:
A waste toner transfer apparatus in an electrophotographic printer transfers waste toner removed by a cleaning unit from an image holding body where a toner image is temporarily held to a waste toner storage container. The waste toner transfer apparatus includes a duct connecting the cleaning unit and the storage container, a transfer unit installed in the duct and transferring the waste toner to the storage container, and an agitation member installed in the duct to move therein and guide the waste toner from the cleaning unit to the transfer unit.
Abstract:
An image transfer unit includes at least one photosensitive medium on which an electrostatic latent image is formed by light scanning and a toner image formed by transferring toners onto the electrostatic latent image. A transfer belt is wound on at least a pair of rollers and circulates around the rollers and forms a transfer nip by contacting the photosensitive medium. A linear velocity of the transfer belt is set to be faster than linear velocity of an outer circumferential surface of the photosensitive medium contacting the transfer belt.
Abstract:
An electrophotographic includes a main frame, a photosensitive drum unit having a photosensitive drum and vertically detachably installed on the main frame, a plurality of development units each having a developing roller and detachably installed on the main frame while sliding in a horizontal direction, and a first door openably installed for mounting or dismounting the plurality of development units.
Abstract:
An electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes a print unit that prints an image by an electrophotographic process and has a developer cartridge having a photoreceptor drum. A door opens and closes one side of the print unit to install and remove the developer cartridge. A fixing member is selectively shifted between a first position where the developer cartridge is installed and removed and a second position where the developer cartridge is fixed to the print unit by opening and closing the door.
