Abstract:
To generate a setting bar code for changing setting of an optical information reader, in setup items changed by the user, each item different from the default value is extracted and bar code original data is created. Further, if the amount of information to be encoded is large and the length of a setting bar code exceeds a predetermined value, the information to be encoded is divided into a plurality of parts as a plurality of setting bar codes so that each of the plurality of setting bar codes falls within the predetermined value. Each of the plurality of setting bar codes contains information concerning the total number of bar codes and the serial number relative to the total number of bar codes and check information indicating that the plurality of setting bar codes belong to the same setup contents.

Abstract:
A dampening disk assembly stabilizes friction generated by friction mechanisms within a first range of torsional angle in a separated hub type of clutch disk assembly. An intermediate member (18, 20) is disposed axially between a clutch plate 31 and a retaining plate 32. The first axial side of the intermediate member is supported by the clutch plate 31. The intermediate member (18, 20) has an intermediate plate 18 and a supporting member or fixing plate 20 with a first part 71 and a supporting portion 73 at an inner circumferential portion. An output hub 3 has a flange 64 disposed axially facing the supporting portion 73. The intermediate member (18, 20) and the hub 3 are axially supported by the clutch plate 31. A first friction mechanism 8 is formed between the fixing plate or supporting member 20 and the retaining plate 32. The first friction mechanism 8 includes a friction washer 81 and a first cone spring 49. A second friction mechanism 10 is formed between the flange 64 of the hub 3 and the supporting portion 73 of the fixing plate 20. The second friction mechanism 10 includes a bushing 19 which connects with the hub 3 in a relatively non-rotatable and axially-movable manner and abuts on the supporting portion 73, and a second cone spring 78 disposed axially between the flange 64 and the bushing 19.
Abstract:
A dampening disk assembly 1 is provided in a clutch assembly 1 to make it possible to easily change the level of hysteresis torque when small torsion vibrations are generated. Thus, the level of hysteresis torque can easily be changed to accommodate a wide variety of vehicles. In the dampening disk assembly 1, a friction washer 48 is disposed between an input plate 32 and a hub flange 18. The friction washer 48 is engaged with the input plate 32, so that torque may be transferred from the input plate 32 to the hub flange 18. A cone spring 49 is disposed between the friction washer 48 and the input plate 32 in an axial direction to give resiliency to both members in the axial direction. A fixing plate 20 contacts the friction washer 48 in the axial direction. A spacer 80 is disposed between the fixing plate 20 and the hub flange 18 in the axial direction so as to transmit torque. A first gap is formed either between the spacer 80 and the fixing plate 20 in a rotational direction or between the spacer 80 and the hub flange 18 in the rotational direction.
Abstract:
A clutch or damper disk assembly 1 is provided with a dampening mechanism 4 that relieves rising of a hysteresis torque, and thereby suppresses generation of noises and vibrations in a dampening mechanism having multi-stage characteristics. The clutch or damper disk assembly 1 includes an input rotary member 2, a hub 3 and a dampening mechanism 4. The dampening mechanism 4 is disposed between the input rotary member 2 and the hub 3 for transmitting a torque therebetween and dampening torsional vibrations. In the four stage embodiment, the dampening mechanism 4 includes a set of springs 21 (first stage), a set of springs 206 (second stage), a set of springs 16 (third stage), a set of springs 17 (fourth stage) and a pair of friction mechanisms 241 and 242. The springs 206 are disposed so as to operate in series with the springs 21. The springs 206 have a higher rigidity than the springs 21. The springs 16 are disposed so as to operate in series with respect to the springs 206. The friction mechanisms 241 and 242 are disposed so as to operate in series. The friction mechanism 241 is disposed to operate in parallel with springs 206. The friction mechanism 242 is disposed so as to operate in parallel with the springs 16. The torque generated by the springs 206 can be larger than a sum of the initial torque of the springs 16 and the hysteresis torque of the friction mechanism 242.
Abstract:
This invention makes it possible to link separately employed pagers, PHS, and other data terminals with computer networks such as the Internet, and to schedule transfer of data to the data terminals. In a system for transferring message to pagers from user terminals connected to the Internet, a user terminal indicates to a transmission server the time for message transfer, and the transmission server, using a code conversion table, converts the message to the code adapted to the particular pager service provider and pager terminal, and transmits the message to the pager terminal at the indicated time.
Abstract:
A speech dialogue system capable of realizing natural and smooth dialogue between the system and a human user, and easy maneuverability of the system. In the system, a semantic content of input speech from a user is understood and a semantic content determination of a response output is made according to the understood semantic content of the input speech. Then, a speech response and a visual response according to the determined response output are generated and outputted to the user. The dialogue between the system and the user is managed by controlling transitions between user states during which the input speech is to be entered and system states during which the system response is to be outputted. The understanding of a semantic content of input speech from a user is made by detecting keywords in the input speech, with the keywords to be detected in the input speech limited in advance, according to a state of a dialogue between the user and the system.
