Then, of the two electrothermal converting elements, the length of the electrothermal converting element on the side farther away from the discharge port in the ink discharge direction is made shorter than that of the other electrothermal converting element. With the ink jet recording head thus structured, it is possible to perform higher speed printing in higher image quality and higher gradation.
