    摘要: A liquid jet recording method using a recording head provided with a liquid jet part comprising an orifice through which the liquid is jetted to form a flying liquid droplet and a heat action section in communication with said orifice in which section the thermal energy for jetting the liquid acts on said liquid, and an electro-thermal transducer serving as means for generating the thermal energy, said method characterized in that said thermal energy is made to act on the liquid filling said heat action section so as to jet from said orifice such amount of liquid sufficient enough to include unnecessary bubbles generated in said liquid jet part and a liquid droplet is formed by said jetted liquid whereby said unnecessary bubbles are eliminated from said liquid jet part while repeating said liquid droplet formation to perform recording with said droplets. Further, said method is characterized by applying to said electro-thermal transducer a driving signal having a voltage value in the range of 1.02 to 1.3 times as high as the threshold voltage value for bubble generation in said heat action section filled with said liquid.

    摘要: An ink jet recording head comprises a substrate including a heat-generating resistance layer disposed on a support to provide a heat-generating section with two ends, a pair of electrodes on the support being connected electrically to the ends of the heat-generating sections. A member, joined to the substrate, has a recessed portion for forming a liquid pathway connected to an orifice for ejecting liquid. The member and substrate are joined so that the ends of the heat-generating section correspond to the liquid pathway. An organic material protective layer on the electrodes proximate to the ends of the heat-generating section is omitted from the heat-generating section and in the vicinity of an edge of the support where the liquid pathway is connected to the orifice. This configuration prevents the organic material protective layer from being subjected to the high temperatures attained by the heat-generating section and to the mechanical stresses encountered when the edge of the head is machined.

    摘要: A liquid jet recording head comprises a liquid discharge portion including an orifice for discharging a liquid to form a flying liquid droplet and a liquid flow path communicating with the orifice having a heat applying portion to apply thermal energy to the liquid to form the liquid droplet, and an electro-thermal transducer including at least a pair of opposing electrodes electrically connected to a heat generating resistive layer formed on a base and a heat generating portion formed between the electrodes. A first upper protection layer of an inorganic insulative material and a second upper protection layer of an organic material are laminated on at least the electrodes, and the first upper protection layer and a third upper protection layer of an inorganic material different from that of the first upper protection layer are laminated in this order on at least the heat generating portion.
