    摘要: An optimum I/Q imbalance compensating apparatus and method in a zero-IF OFDM receiver. In the apparatus, a first compensator generates a first symbol by removing interference from a second distorted symbol on an (Ns−m+1)th subcarrier from a first distorted symbol on an mth subcarrier by a first compensation coefficient in an OFDM FFT signal of Ns subcarriers. A first hard decider generates a first compensated symbol by hard-decision on the first symbol, an error calculator generates an error symbol by subtracting the first received symbol from the first compensated symbol. A second compensator generates a second symbol by eliminating interference from the first distorted symbol from the second distorted symbol using a second compensation coefficient. A second hard decider generates a second compensated symbol by hard-decision on the second symbol, and an adaptive controller updates the first compensation coefficient using the error symbol and the second compensation symbol.

    摘要: A gap filler apparatus providing cyclic delay diversity in a digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) system. In the gap filler apparatus, a receiver receives an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal transmitted as a broadcasting signal. A symbol synchronization unit acquires symbol synchronization of the OFDM signal, detects a guard interval of an OFDM symbol using the symbol synchronization, determines a sample length, by which the OFDM symbol is cyclic-delayed within the guard interval, and cyclic-delays the OFDM signal by the determined sample length. An amplifier amplifies the cyclic-delayed OFDM signal. A transmitter transmits the amplified OFDM signal to a wireless network.

    摘要: An apparatus and method are provided for transmitting and receiving high-speed packet data without path loss in a mobile communication system with a plurality of transmitting and receiving antennas. To support high-speed data for a mobile station (MS), a base station (BS) identifies a correlation between the number of transmitting antennas and the number of receiving antennas using feedback information and determines whether to establish a relay transmission scheme. The BS determines if quality of service for the MS is satisfied when the number of transmitting antennas is grater than the number of receiving antennas according to the established relay transmission scheme. When the quality of service for the MS is not satisfied, the BS transmits the high-speed data through a specific node group adjacent to the MS.

A receiver of a mobile communication system, which transmits/receives data at a high speed by means of the plurality of transmission antennas and the plurality of reception antennas, estimates a transmission signal of a specific path from a first received signal according to a preset criterion, measures an error component for each symbol of the estimated transmission signal, performs an error correction for symbols having a corresponding error component exceeding a preset value, detects transmission data from all symbols through a predetermined signal reverse-processing procedure, reconstructs a transmission signal from the transmission data, subtracts the reconstructed transmission signal from the received signal to generate a second received signal, and repeats the above operations until transmission data of all paths are detected from the second received signal.

Two time points having the same energy, earlier and later than the received signal, are detected. The energy ratio between other time points spaced from the two time points by the same interval is calculated and it is determined whether the energy ratio falls into a predetermined rage. If the energy ratio is within the range, the received signal is considered to have no effects from an interference signal or a neighboring signal.

    摘要: A Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system and method are provided that includes a reader and a tag which share a predetermined secret key. The reader transmits an authentication request random number to the tag. The reader and the tag generate a Pseudorandom Noise (PN) sequence formed of a series of binary codes from an exclusive disjunction of the authentication request random number and the predetermined secret key. The tag produces an authentication response random number by performing a predetermined conversion operation for the PN sequence and transmits the authentication response random number to the reader. The reader authenticates the tag by analyzing the PN sequence and the authentication response random number.
