摘要: An apparatus and process is provided for the production of hot mix asphalt (HMA) by the treatment of virgin material alone or adding reclaimed or recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) of up to 100% of the HMA comprised of reclaimed asphaltic pavement (RAP). The HMA is first heated in either a parallel or a counter flow rotating drum which is supplied with hot combustion gases generated by a remote low NO.sub.x burner. The temperature of hot gases entering the drum is from about 400.degree. to 2,000.degree. F., and the temperature of gases exiting from the drum is from about 130.degree. to 220.degree. F. The HMA material optionally can be subjected to microwave radiation to raise the material to a final temperature, or optionally to only reorient the dipolar molecules of the material without any measurable heating of the material. The exhaust gas is treated and made environmentally safe. The hot gases exiting from the drum are passed through a knockout box and then through a baghouse having acrylic bags coated with a protective layer of particulate material. The gases exiting the baghouse are passed through an oxidizer to further remove smoke and asphaltic material and at least a portion of the gases from the oxidizer are recycled through a heat exchanger.

摘要: A method includes retrieving capacity utilization data for a plurality of resources and applying a linear regression analysis on the capacity utilization data. The method further includes projecting, using a processor, the capacity utilization data through a future time based on results of the linear regression analysis. The method additionally includes determining a deviation from a predetermined threshold range in the projected capacity utilization data for a first resource, and, in response to determining the deviation, determining, for each of a plurality of resource configurations, future capacity utilization of the first resource based on a non-linear capacity consumption model corresponding to the resource configuration. The method also includes applying a selected resource configuration from the plurality of resource configurations to the first resource to prevent the first resource from deviating from the predetermined threshold range.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for implementing risk retention programs for originators and securitizers of asset backed securities. An administrative contract identified as a margin as credit enhancement contract is created for a corresponding asset backed security. A risk retention entity is assigned a long position for the margin as credit enhancement contract corresponding to a predetermined percentage of the asset backed security. A buyer of the asset backed security is assigned a short position for the margin as credit enhancement contract. When the asset backed security expires, a computer device settles the long and short positions of the margin as credit enhancement contract.

摘要: A mixing syringe having a first sealed chamber containing a powder (powder housing) and a second sealed chamber containing a liquid (liquid housing). When the user needs to inject a patient, he or she holds the mixing syringe approximately upright and depresses a plunger. This motion causes a piercer to pierce a foil seal separating the two chambers. The liquid then drops down into the powder housing. The liquid flows through a passage in a piston located in the powder housing, where it then comes in contact with the powder itself. As the user continues pressing the plunger downward, the piercer comes to rest within the piston and seals the passage through the piston, thereby locking the piercer and piston together. The device is then ready for an injection. As the plunger is further depressed, the piston expels the powder and liquid mixture through a needle.

摘要: A detachable mount for a telescopic sight which can be operated using only one latching mechanism. The mount uses a front base attached to the ring of a rifle receiver and a rear base attached to the bridge of a rifle receiver. The upper surfaces of both the front and rear bases open into a pair of slots. A separate scope mount is attached to a scope sight by conventional means. Two sets of lugs descend from the lower surfaces of this scope mount. These sets of descending lugs are configured to fit securely within the slots in the front and rear bases when the scope mount is placed over the bases. The forward facing surfaces of the rear set of descending lugs mate with a corresponding set of rearward facing surfaces in the slots within the rear base. These sets of mating surfaces are offset from the vertical to create a wedging effect that pulls the rear of the scope mount down when it is pushed forward relative to the rifle receiver. The rearward facing surfaces of the front set of descending lugs open into tapered notches. The front base incorporates a transverse slider having a tapered surface which fits within the tapered notches in the front descending lugs. The interaction of this slider with the front lugs pushes the front of the scope mount forward while simultaneously pulling it down. The forward motion also serves to pull the rear of the scope mount down as described previously.

摘要: An apparatus for the treatment of 100% reclaimed asphaltic pavement (RAP) uses low temperatures and no direct radiation from a burner flame to the RAP. The RAP is first heated in a counter flow drum which is supplied with hot combusting gases generated by a remote low NOx burner. The temperature of the drum input gases is preferably around 1100 degrees F and the output temperature of the gases may be 100 degrees F or less greater than the input temperature of the RAP. The RAP may be heated with a microwave oven to raise the RAP to a final temperature, although this step is not absolutely necessary in the counterflow design of this invention.
