Abstract:
A method for transmitting and for storing destination information in a mobile communication terminal is disclosed. The method for transmitting destination information includes determining whether a navigation mode is enabled and, if the navigation mode is enabled, determining whether a hot key is pressed for a predetermined time. If the hot key is pressed for the predetermined time, destination address information corresponding to the hot key is read, and transmitted to an information center over a wireless network. Therefore, since a phone book of the mobile communication terminal is interworked with destination address information for navigation, the present invention simplifies procedures needed to transmit the destination address information using the mobile communication terminal.
Abstract:
A mobile terminal for controlling a vehicle using a short message by establishing authentication information to establish mutual authentication between the vehicle acting and a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal requests initial information needed for an automatic control function from the vehicle using the authentication information, and checks the vehicle's automatic control available items associated with the initial information received from the vehicle. Upon receiving user's selection information needed for the automatic control function, the mobile terminal generates a short message containing a control command corresponding to items from among the checked automatic control available items, and transmits the short message to the vehicle. The user uses a short message in a mobile communication network to remotely control a vehicle. User interface using icons allow the user to conveniently control the vehicle at a remote site.
Abstract:
A data transmitting and receiving method between a mobile terminal and an information center in a navigation system is disclosed. The present invention is characterized in that if lower items of a destination are not received from the information center in the middle of receiving destination setting items to set the destination after the mobile terminal transmits a destination setting request message to the information center, the mobile terminal sends a reconnection request message and stored destination setting data.
Abstract:
There is provided an antenna array apparatus using a GPS signal in a base station and a beamforming method thereof. In the antenna array apparatus, a GPS signal processor receives GPS position information from a mobile station and calculates the position information of the mobile station. A signal processor calculates a weight vector using the position information to form a transmission/reception beam. A transmission/reception beamformer forms the transmission/reception beam according to the weight vector.
Abstract:
A navigation system utilizing a paging channel of a mobile communication service for a navigation apparatus including a mobile communication function is disclosed, which comprises: a BSC-based traffic server for periodically extracting/synthesizing traffic information in an area of a BSC, and then transmitting the traffic information of a peripheral area including the BSC; and a BSC for inserting the traffic information received from the BSC-based traffic server into the paging channel for a mobile communication terminal, and then transmitting it. In the navigation system, traffic conditions information in a corresponding area is transmitted by means of a paging channel, thereby utilizing real time traffic information while maintaining the architecture of the existing mobile communication network without an additional apparatus and communication cost.
