Abstract:
A method of operating with a rivet is for the coupling and the tack riveting together of a first element and a second element. The method comprises positioning the rivet such that the rivet traverses two substantially coaxial openings arranged in the first and second elements to be assembled; pulling the mandrel to form a bulb on the second end; and resuming pulling of the mandrel, to cause a rupture of the sleeve at the bulb so as to permit removal, by way of the external surface of the first element, of the mandrel and of a first portion of the sleeve as well as the falling away of the portion of the bulb remaining on the external surface of the second element.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a manufacturing method requiring precise positioning of fixing components relative to another receiving component designed to receive same, the positioning being carried out by means of an equipment provided therefor, characterized in that it consists in measuring the components designed to be positioned to ascertain the tolerance curve (C) of said components and in modifying the settings of the positioning equipment such that the curve (C) for dimensioning the components is in the middle of the positioning tolerance zone. The invention also concerns an adapted software product. The invention is useful for the statistical control of processes in particular for piercing/riveting processes.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device (D) for dispensing parts (R), e.g. rivets, which are delivered at the outlet of a storage means such as a vibrating bowl (100), said outlet (110) comprising a displacement path for the parts (R). The inventive device is characterized in that it comprises: a command unit (200) which authorises the individual passage of parts (R) being delivered by the storage and dispensing means (100) into a conduit (C), a control unit (300) which orients each part (R) passing through the conduit (C), and a suction means which is intended to drive the already-moving parts (R) individually into the conduit by accelerating the part (R) which is most affected by the vacuum. The invention also relates to the corresponding operating method and to the vibrating bowl which is adapted to one such device. The invention is suitable for dispensing parts such as rivets.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a blind riveting member of the type comprising a tubular sleeve (1) and a mandrel (2) passing through said sleeve. The stem portion (5) of the tubular sleeve (1) comprises successively along its length, a first articulation zone (5a), an inclined portion (5b), a second articulation zone (5c) and an end portion (5d). These zones or portions are arranged in such a manner that the sleeve is subjected to a double folding during setting of the rivet which causes the inclined portion to expand and fold back upon itself toward the materials being assembled, forming a continuous rest surface at the periphery of the hole which contains the riveting member. The invention is applied in particular for assembling fragile materials such as composite materials. It permits providing a good vibration resistant holding for these materials without risk of damaging the same.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for the management of fluids required to operate a vehicle, remarkable in that it comprises an operation of the anodic oxidation of a solution of hydrogen peroxide (P) for the purpose of producing oxygen, water and hydrogen cations by subjecting said solution to an electric current produced by an electrical power source. The invention also relates to a device that makes it possible to implement the method.Applications: management of the fluids required to operate a vehicle in particular an aircraft.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a device for storing and dispensing (D) parts such as rivets comprising a frame (100) provided with zones for receiving (100′) cartridges (200) for storing parts such as rivets displaced by a transporting fluid. The invention is characterized in that it comprises a mobile dispensing head (300) for gripping and evacuating in single units parts stored in the cartridge (200) in front of which it is urged to be placed, said mobile head being associated with a plurality of dispensing tubes (310) whereof the diameter corresponds to the type of parts to be dispensed. The invention is applicable to storage and dispensing of parts such as rivets.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a blind rivet (R) characterised in that it comprises a severing groove (130) shaped in such a way that the connection between the bottom of the groove and the outside diameter of the mandrel (100) increases more on the shank side than on the head side; a shank (120) provided with a plurality of preformed crimping grooves (140) and shaped in such a way that once the shank has been severed at the severing groove (130), part of the crimping grooves (140) extends beyond the sleeve (200); at least one weakening groove (150) on the shank; a crimping collar insert (400) is crimped into the crimping grooves (140) extending beyond the sleeve (200) using a tool (500) provided with a setting tip which can exert a pulling force on the mandrel (100) in order to bend the sleeve (200) and crimp the collar (400) on the mandrel (100). The invention is useful for attachment and riveting.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for structural attachment using a blind rivet (R) including a rod (100) that, equipped with a head (110) and a threaded portion (120), is arranged inside a hollow dowel (200) including a first end equipped with a head (210) and a second end (220) on which a nut (330) cooperating with the threaded portion of the rod (100) exerts a force transmitted by the rod (100) so that a second bearing surface on the second element is created by deformation, which is remarkable in that it consists of imparting a first translation movement (arrow F1) on the rod (100) so as to create, by deformation under the action of said nut, said second bearing surface, then imparting a second rotation movement (arrow F4) on said rod (100) for the purpose of screwing, so as to apply a tension in the attachment created. The invention also relates to the rivet enabling such a method to be implemented, as well as the fitting tool adapted to said rivet.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for assembling materials by means of a riveting member of the type comprising a mandrel (2) and a sleeve (1). The sleeve (1) is provided with a peripheral recess on its external surface, in particular a groove (5), for forming a bending zone, while the mandrel has a head (9) able to deform the tubular end of the sleeve and to fold it back at the level of its bending zone. During riveting, the peripheral recess of the sleeve preserves the starting point of the countersink of the material against any stress and the bending zone of the sleeve permits providing a bearing surface of great dimension applied precisely against the materials.
Abstract:
