Abstract:
An ink system of an ink jet printer includes a fluid tank. The fluid tank includes a generally conically shaped side wall, the side wall sloping inwardly from a top portion to a bottom portion. A bottom surface is disposed adjacent the bottom portion of the side wall. A first fluid conduit is disposed in the fluid tank and includes an opening adjacent to and above the bottom surface of the fluid tank. A second fluid conduit is disposed in the fluid tank and includes an opening at a location above the opening of the first fluid conduit. A pump is in fluid communication with the first fluid conduit and the second fluid conduit. An ink supply line is in fluid communication with the pump. A print head is in fluid communication with the ink supply line.
Abstract:
A chain tension sensor for a chain conveyor, the conveyor including a frame and a chain having a plurality of flights. The tension sensor includes a reaction arm and a load sensing pin. The reaction arm includes a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a load pad. The first end is pivotably coupled to the frame by a pivot pin defining a pivot axis. The load pad is adjacent the conveyor chain and positioned to contact flights passing the load pad. The flights contacting the load pad exert a force on the reaction in a direction that is perpendicular to the pivot axis. The load sensing pin is coupled to the reaction arm such that the load sensing pin senses the force that is exerted by the flights.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for managing contracts and contract bids is provided. Systems may include a memory for storing executable instructions for managing contract bids; and a processing system configured to execute the instructions stored in the memory. Executing the instructions causes the processing system to receive project parameters from at least one builder; receive bids from a plurality of contractors, each bid including a quote corresponding to a project parameter; map each quote in the received bids to the corresponding project parameter; identify discrepancies between the mapped quotes, and adjust at least one quote based on the discrepancies. The project parameters may include a building plan, a scope of work, and a materials specification. The processing system may display an advertisement to the builder when the builder is entering or reviewing the project parameters, the advertisement may include content that substantially relates to the project parameters.
Abstract:
The present invention provides flexible, user-definable call screening processes. The user can optionally define to which telecommunication terminals a screened call is to be broadcast to and under what conditions. An incoming call is forwarded to a call management system that asks the caller to leave a voice message. The call management system selectively couples the call to a POTS line or a VoIP-capable device so that the user can listen to the incoming message and thereby screen the incoming call. Based on the screening, the user can instruct the call management system to connect the caller to the user.
Abstract:
A physiological sensor includes an electrical grid to activate one or more light emitters by addressing at least one row conductor and at least one column conductor. Each light emitter includes a positive terminal and a negative terminal. The physiological sensor includes a first light emitter and a second light emitter. A first contact is communicatively coupled with the positive terminal of the first light emitter, the negative terminal of the second light emitter, a first row conductor, and a first column conductor. A second contact is communicatively coupled with the negative terminal of the first light emitter, the positive terminal of the second light emitter, a second row conductor, and a second column conductor. The first light emitter is activated by addressing the first row conductor and the second column conductor. The second light emitter is activated by addressing the second row conductor and the first column conductor.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for automatically extracting parallel word sequences from comparable corpora are described. Electronic documents, such as web pages belonging to a collaborative online encyclopedia, are analyzed to locate parallel word sequences between electronic documents written in different languages. These parallel word sequences are then used to train a machine translation system that can translate text from one language to another.
Abstract:
This invention describes natural hop products that are stable solutions of alpha-acids, as well as their preparation and their use for post-fermentation addition to beer for the purpose of improving the foam quality, as measured by foam stability and foam cling. Improvements in the stability (both physical and chemical) of the alpha-acids are described by incorporation of iso-alpha-acids and tetrahydroiso-alpha-acids as well as various brewery-acceptable co-solvents. The alpha-acids also improve the physical stability of the reduced iso-alpha-acids, including tetrahydroiso-alpha-acids.

Abstract:
A method is provided for collecting and electronically providing personal health information for registrants to emergency personnel by assigning a unique code to each registrant which is published in conspicuous locations and upon occurrence of an emergency situation involving the registrant, registrant's health information is released to authorized medical personnel who provide the registrant's unique code with a request for health information.
Abstract:
A new and distinct cultivar of Paeonia plant named ‘Smith Opus 1’, characterized by its compact and symmetrically globular plant habit; vigorous growth habit; relatively narrow and finely-incised leaves; numerous large flowers that are arranged on strong peduncles above and beyond the foliar plane; long flowering period; developing flowers are yellow in color and flushed with pink imparting a light orange color to the opening flowers; fully opened flowers are yellow in color and have large prominent red-colored flares at the petal bases; and good garden performance.
