    Abstract: An electrical cable includes a conductor assembly having a first conductor, a second conductor and an insulator surrounding the first conductor and the second conductor. The insulator has an outer surface and extends along a longitudinal axis for a length of the electrical cable. The conductor assembly has a coating layer on the outer surface of the insulator being conductive defining an inner electrical shield of the electrical cable. A cable shield is wrapped around the conductor assembly and has an inner edge and an outer edge. The outer edge is wrapped over the inner edge to form a flap covering the inner edge and extending along the longitudinal axis. The cable shield engages the inner electrical shield and forms an outer electrical shield exterior of the inner electrical shield.

    Abstract: A cable preparation machine includes a frame forming a cable cutting zone and having a cable opening along a cable axis at the cable cutting zone receiving an end of a cable. The cable preparation machine includes a pulley assembly rotatably coupled to the frame about the cable axis, a drive assembly operably coupled to the pulley assembly to rotate the pulley assembly about the cable axis, and a blade assembly operably coupled to the pulley assembly and rotated with the pulley assembly about the cable axis. The blade assembly is configured for cutting an insulator from the end of the cable in a first cutting configuration when the cable is positioned in the cable opening and the blade assembly is configured for cutting a cable braid from the end of the cable in a second cutting configuration when the cable is positioned in the cable opening.

    Abstract: An automatic calibration method of a robot system comprises providing a ball-rod member including a connection rod and a sphere connected to the connection rod, fixing the connection rod to an end execution tool mounted on a flange of a robot, providing distance sensors around a target point, and sensing an actual distance from each of the distance sensors to the sphere. The robot is controlled to move a center of the sphere to the target point in different poses based on the actual distances sensed by the distance sensors. A first transformation matrix of the center of the sphere with respect to a center of the flange is calculated based on pose data of the robot at the target point. A second transformation matrix of a center of the end execution tool with respect to the center of the flange is calculated based on the first transformation matrix.

    Abstract: A connector assembly includes a connector module having a connector body with side edges and end edges. The connector body has contact channels holding contacts. The connector assembly includes a mounting frame having side walls and an end wall opposite a window between the side walls. The window is open to and provides access to a passage that receives the connector module. The mounting frame includes a connector module support structure for supporting the connector module in the passage that defines a confined space oversized relative to the connector body of the connector module to allow a limited amount of floating movement in the confined space in a lateral direction that is perpendicular to the mating direction.

    Abstract: Pass through plates comprise a body with an opening between opposed first and second surfaces for accommodating the passage of electrical elements. One or more upper retaining elements project outwardly from the body and are positioned adjacent a body top portion. One or more lower retaining elements project from the body and are positioned adjacent a body bottom portion. The upper and lower retaining elements are each configured to both engage respective top and bottom sections of an opening in an external object, and to engage a backside surface of the external object when installed within the opening to retain the pass through plate for attachment with the external object. The upper and lower retaining elements are positioned to enable movement of the pass through plate from an upward position in the opening to a downward position in the opening for fixed attachment with the external object.
