摘要: A fuel filler apparatus of a vehicle of the invention only permits insertion of fuel dispensing nozzles of a diameter within a predefined range, and prevents insertion of fuel dispensing nozzles whose diameter is smaller or larger than this range. 摘要: A vehicle fuel supply device including a saddle-shaped fuel tank comprised of a main chamber and an auxiliary chamber. A reservoir is disposed within the main chamber. A main pump is provided within the reservoir. A sub-pump is detachably provided within the reservoir. The fuel in the reservoir is drawn up by an operation of the main pump to supply fuel to an engine. A portion of the drawn-up fuel is utilized to generate a negative pressure, the negative pressure is utilized to transfer the fuel in the auxiliary chamber to the reservoir, and the negative pressure is utilized to introduce the fuel in the main chamber into the reservoir.

摘要: A canister system is installed in a vehicle having a body having a substantially closed space defined therein, and a subframe mounted on the body and having a substantially closed space defined therein. An air intake passage is connected to a canister for drawing and delivering fresh air into the canister, and an air exhaust passage is connected to the canister for exhausting air resulting from removal of evaporative fuel components from an evaporative fuel-air mixture by adsorption of the evaporative fuel components by the canister into the atmosphere. An open end of the air intake passage remote from the canister is formed in the body of the vehicle, and an open end of the air exhaust passage remote from the canister is formed in the subframe.

摘要: An on-off valve 30 is mounted in an intermediate portion of a first evaporative fuel conduit 24 for passing an evaporative fuel within a fuel tank 21 to a canister C. The on-off valve 30 is opened when refueling. A float valve 28 is mounted at a lower end of the first evaporative fuel conduit 24 and closed by rising of the liquid level in the fuel tank 21. A two-way valve 40 and a second float valve 29 are mounted in an intermediate portion and a lower end of a second evaporative fuel conduit 25 which permits the fuel tank 21 and the canister C to be put into communication with each other during non-refueling. By putting the first and second evaporative fuel conduits 24 and 25 into communication with each other by a communication passage 27, the internal pressure in a portion 24a of the first evaporative fuel conduit 24, between the on-off valve 30 and the second float valve 28, is equalized to the internal pressure in the fuel tank 21, thereby preventing the first float valve 28 from being stuck in a closed position.

摘要: An evaporative emission control system for an internal combustion engine comprises a canister for adsorbing evaporative fuel generated in the fuel tank, and a first evaporative fuel passage extending between the canister and the tank main body of the fuel tank. A differential pressure-operated valve is arranged across the first evaporative fuel passage, which has a positive pressure chamber communicating through the first evaporative fuel passage with the interior of the tank main body of the fuel tank, and a back pressure chamber. The differential pressure-operated valve opens and closes the first evaporative fuel passage in response to a difference in pressure between the positive pressure chamber and the back pressure chamber. A pressure-introducing passage extends between the back pressure chamber and the inlet end portion of a filler pipe extending from the interior of the main body of the fuel tank, and a second evaporative fuel passage extends between the interior of the tank main body of the fuel tank and one of the back pressure chamber and the pressure-introducing passage. A check valve limits the amount of evaporative fuel flowing through the second evaporative fuel passage.

摘要: In an evaporative fuel processing device, a constriction is provided in a refueling line 1 for a fuel tank T and connected to a diaphragm actuator through a negative pressure tube. When fuel passes through the constriction during refueling, the diaphragm actuator causes a switch-over valve 5 to be switched by the action of a negative pressure generated at the constriction, thereby permitting an evaporative fuel generated in the fuel tank to be introduced into a canister used during refueling. During normal operation which is other than the time of refueling, the negative pressure disappears and hence, the switch-over valve is switched, thereby permitting the evaporative fuel to be introduced into a canister used during normal operation. Thus, it is possible to reliably collect the evaporative fuel generated during refueling into the fuel tank by a simple structure.

摘要: A fuel introducing member is connected to an opening end of a siphon pipe forming a fuel tank. The fuel introducing member has an opening for introducing fuel within the tank, and the opening is formed in the upper surface of a cover section. A lid body is pivotably mounted to the upper surface. When the opening is above the level of fuel, the lid body closes the opening by the weight of the lid body, and when the opening is below the level of the fuel, the lid body floats in the fuel to open the opening. The opening is located below the upper end of the inner diameter of the opening end of the siphon pipe.

摘要: A fuel tank includes a first fuel chamber for receiving liquid fuel; a communication chamber communicated with the first fuel chamber and having a bottom higher than a bottom of the first fuel chamber; and a second fuel chamber communicated with the communication chamber, the second fuel chamber having a bottom lower than the bottom of the communication chamber. The fuel tank also includes a sleeve member having a lower end opening toward the bottom of the communication chamber, and configured so that fuel evaporative emissions are discharged while liquid fuel is supplied to the first fuel chamber. The first fuel chamber, the communication chamber, and the second fuel chamber are all molded integrally by resin blow molding. The communication chamber is provided with a protrusion which is convex when viewed from inside the communication chamber, and a depression which is concave when viewed from outside of the communication chamber.

摘要: A wave suppression structure for a fuel tank is provided in which a wave suppression member (37) disposed in the interior of a tank main body of the fuel tank is formed from a basket-shaped container (38) and cylindrical porous members (39), the basket-shaped container (38) being formed from two members, first and second half bodies (38L, 38R), two of the porous members (39) being supported in the interior of each of the first and second half bodies (38L, 38R), wherein the wave supporting member (37) is supported on a fuel suction pipe (36) by joining the first and second half bodies (38L, 38R) of the basket-shaped container (38) so as to sandwich a fuel suction pipe (36) between a through hole (38f) thereof. This enables attachment of the wave suppression member (37) to the fuel suction pipe (36) to be completed without carrying out a cumbersome operation of inserting the fuel suction pipe (36) through the through hole (38f) of the basket-shaped container (38) or the interior of the porous member (39), thereby greatly improving the ease of attachment.
