Abstract:
An information processing apparatus includes a communicating section that executes communication with a server, a local storage section that stores subsequent data acquired from the server, and a data processing section that executes an acquisition process of the subsequent data, and a data playback process using data stored on a disc and the subsequent data stored on the local storage section. The data processing section builds a virtual file system for reading data stored on the disc and the local storage section, at the time of the data playback process, and performs the acquisition process of the subsequent data by transmitting a package ID to the server at the time of the acquisition process of the subsequent data, the package ID being information specifying a package corresponding to a file set necessary for building or updating the virtual file system.
Abstract:
Data broadcast data, which is broadcast in data broadcasts, is constructed by disposing, for example, EMD (Electric Music Distribution) links required to acquire song data as actual broadcast data, which is broadcast in actual broadcasts by a transmitting device, the actual broadcast data is transmitted, and the data broadcast data wherein the EMD links for the song data in the actual broadcasts are disposed, is transmitted periodically during the transmission of the actual broadcast data. The actual broadcast data and the data broadcast data are received by a user terminal, and the EMD links disposed in the data broadcast data are stored whenever there is an input of an operation to attach a “bookmark”. Thus, audio data such as songs in programs broadcast can easily be acquired by radio.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus includes a local storage in which a virtual file system is created, the virtual file system supporting an information recording medium on which encrypted content on which an encryption process has been performed is recorded, the encrypted content being managed for each of content management units serving as content use management units, and on which content management units used by the encrypted content are set; and a playback unit configured to read and play back the encrypted content managed by the content management units used by the encrypted content by using the virtual file system created in the local storage, configured to receive a data distribution file set for linking other information with the encrypted content of the information recording medium, the encrypted content being distributed from an information distribution server, and configured to update the virtual file system using the received data distribution file set.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an optical disc recording method of irradiating an optical beam to an optical disc including a basal plate made of synthetic resin which has a concavo-convex pattern formed in advance on one surface thereof, and a reflective coat made of metal which is formed over the concavo-convex pattern on the basal plate, to physically change the concavo-convex pattern so as to record identification data.
Abstract:
Payload 0 as a header is recorded to a head of a UDI area. In the case of recording payload 0 and other payloads, each of them is quintuple-recorded in order to take a countermeasure against errors. Other payloads such as payload 1 and the like are recorded after payload 0. In the case of quintuple-recording, the payloads of the same payload number are collectively quintuple-recorded. AUDI is recorded from a position after one second from start time S. The payloads are arranged in positions at 12-frame intervals. Thus, the five data which is multiple-written are not arranged in the radial direction of a disc but widely distributed onto tracks. Error resistance is improved. An interval of data is set to an optimum value in accordance with the number of multiple-writing times, a linear velocity, a recording position on the disc, and the like.

Abstract:
A recording method for a recording medium, wherein an encrypting process is executed to inputted contents data by using either key data, which becomes key data only for use of the recording medium by being recorded, or by using fixed value data. When an encoding process is executed to the encryption-processed data, if the key data which becomes the key data only for use of the recording medium by being recorded, is used at the time of the encrypting process, that key data is embedded, and the encoding-processed data is recorded onto the recording medium.
Abstract:
When the amount of money billed each time the information is distributed once is determined depending on the number of times that the information is distributed within a predetermined time period, the intention of information offerer and the estimation of user reflects automatically on the amount of money billed when the information is distributed.
Abstract:
An information playback method and apparatus that includes reading first identification information from an auxiliary recording region of a recording medium, including the auxiliary recording region in which writing of content data is prohibited and a main storing region in which the content data can be written and reading second identification information from the main recording region. When first identification information is read from the auxiliary recording region and second identification information is read from the main recording region, comparing the first identification information with the second identification information, and outputting the content data read from the main recording region when the first identification information corresponds to the second identification information. When first identification information is not read from the auxiliary recording region or second identification information is not read from the main recording region, outputting the content data read from the main recording region.
Abstract:
A recording medium including an area in which data that has been encoded with a first error correction code is recorded. Data that can be decoded with a second error correction code that is different from the first error correction code is recorded to the area along with the data that has been encoded with the first error correction code. The data that can be decoded with the second error correction code composes at least part of encryption key data.
