Abstract:
A combination wristband and label form has a first sheet and a backing. The first sheet has a top portion with a plurality of die cut labels, and each of the labels is removable from the form. The first sheet also has a bottom portion comprising a release liner having a release material. The backing has a top portion with a release liner having a release material and a bottom portion having wristband configured to receive an indicia. The wristband is separable from the form and is formed of a single ply of water-resistant and tamper-resistant material. The wristband has a first lateral end and a second lateral end extending outwardly from a central portion, and a fraction of the central portion is a label die cut into the first sheet top portion. The first lateral end has an adhesive area and the second lateral end has perforations without adhesive.

Abstract:
A self-supporting sign of unitary construction comprises a middle portion having a first side, a second side, an upper side, and a lower side. A first foldable flap extends from the first side at a first distance beneath the upper side. A second foldable flap extends from the second side at a second distance beneath the upper side. A front foldable portion having a rounded perimeter extends from the lower side. In a use configuration, the middle portion forms an obtuse angle with respect to the front portion. A first slit is provided adjacent the first side and a second slit is provided adjacent the second side. The first and second slits are configured to aid in the respective folding of the first flap and the second flap with respect to the middle portion.
Abstract:
A method for applying a fold-under label to a substrate comprises the step of feeding to a folding apparatus the fold-under label having a first portion, a second portion extending from the first portion, and a third portion extending from the second portion. The method further comprises the step of causing a folding arm of the folding apparatus to collectively fold the first portion and the second portion behind the third portion by transitioning from a first position to a second position such that an adhesive on the third portion extends through a gap in the second portion. An affixing member of an application apparatus is caused to transition from an initial position to a final position to apply the folded fold-under label to the substrate.
Abstract:
An apparatus for folding and applying a fold-under label to a substrate comprises a folding station having a stop and a folding arm. The apparatus further comprises an application station having an affixing member. The folding arm is configured to fold the fold-under label by transitioning from a first position adjacent the stop to a second position adjacent the affixing member. The affixing member is configured to apply the folded fold-under label to the substrate by transitioning from an initial position to a final position.
Abstract:
A die cut printed blank (10) providing a bisectional, continuous printed surface (24) defined by non-magnetic and magnetic sheets (12,14) joined with an adhesion seam (36) is disclosed. The blank (10) broadly includes a printable sheet (12), a magnetic sheet (14) coupled to the printable sheet (12), a coating carrier (16) applied to the magnetic sheet (14), and a plurality of die cuts (18) in the magnetic sheet (14). The coating carrier (16) is a thin solid liner having a relatively low coefficient of friction that is formed by applying a curable liquid to the rear face (34b) of the magnetic layer (34) and then UV curing the liquid to form the solid liner (16). The coating carrier (16) retains the magnetic sheet (14) together after the sheet (14) has been die cut and enables the sheet (14) to be easily and quickly removed from a stack of other similar magnetic sheets without inhibiting the desired magnetic properties of the finished printed blank (10).
Abstract:
A method and mounting assembly for mounting an electronic communication device having electronic circuitry to a surface is described, wherein the mounting assembly is associated with a back face of the electronic communication device. In a first preferred embodiment, the mounting assembly is a magnetic material associated with the back face of the electronic communication device. The magnetic material is magnetically influenced such that a magnetic field produced by the magnetic material emanates away from the back face of the electronic communication device. In an alternative first preferred embodiment, a synthetic resin laminate shield is intermediately placed between the back surface of the electronic communication device and the magnetic material for further insulating protection from the magnetic field of the magnetic material. In a second preferred embodiment, the back surface of the electronic communication device is provided with a repositionable adhesive. A silicone release layer is positioned on the repositionable adhesive for removal by the user and mounting of the electronic communication device on the surface.
Abstract:
A combination wristband and label form. The form comprises a front side formed of paper. The front side has a first portion having a plurality of labels die cut therein and a second portion having a void. A back side of the form has a polyester section comprising a wristband defined by die cuts in the polyester section and removable from the form. The single-ply wristband has a strap and a foldable having a first panel and a second panel. The first panel has an imaging area defined by a coating and the second panel is configured to laminate only a portion of the imaging area. A size of the second panel is disparate from a size of the first panel.
Abstract:
A wristband and label form. The form comprises a first portion having a plurality of releasable labels die cut therein and a second portion having a void and a wristband formed of a single ply. The wristband is releasably secured to the second portion and has a first panel and a second panel. The first panel has a printable area comprising printable coating. The printable area is accessible through the void and is configured to receive indicia from a printer through the void while the wristband is releasably secured to the second portion. Upon removal of the wristband from the second portion, the second panel is foldable over the first panel to laminate the printable area.
