Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and an apparatus for setting a channel power offset. A load of a cell is obtained and compared with a preset threshold value. A channel power offset value of a user equipment in the cell is set according to a comparison result. In the embodiments of the present invention, the channel power offset value may be flexibly set according to a load state of the cell.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a system for verifying geographical descriptiveness of a media file, such as a picture. The system comprises storage means adapted to store a media file, communication means adapted to send said media file to a plurality of user terminals, and to receive, from the user terminals, data indicating a guessed geographical position with which the user of each user terminal associates the media file. The system also comprises calculation means adapted to determine whether the media file is indicative of a geographical position based on the guessed geographical positions received from the plurality of user terminal.
Abstract:
A method for preparing titania or precursor thereof with a controllable structure from micropore to mesopore is provided. The method is characterized in that the alkali metal titanate as raw material is reacted for 0.5˜72 hours in the wet atmosphere with humidity of 2˜100% at temperature of 20˜250° C., then washed with water or acid, finally performed by air roasting or solvent thermal treatment. The method has advantages that the raw material is easy to be obtained, the conditions and preparation are controllable, the pore structure may be adjusted from micropore to mesopore, crystal mixing and doping are easy, reacting time is short, preparing cost is low, and the said method is suitable for large scale production and so on. The most probable aperture of titanium oxide or precursor thereof with a controllable structure from micropore to mesopore is in the range of 1˜20 nm, the pore volume thereof is in the range of 0.05˜0.4 cm3/g, and the specific surface area thereof is more than 30 m2/g. The titania is at least one of anatase-phase titania, TiO2(B)-phase titania and rutile-phase titania.
Abstract:
A system for in line in situ validation of an air filter of an exhaust filter system including a scan head, a means for facilitating movement of said scan head in the XY plane, a means for externally controlling the movement of the scan head from outside the plenum of the exhaust filter system in the XY plane, and a means for coupling the scan head to the means for externally controlling the movement of the scan head, is provided. The system can also include a scanning arm, inside and outside magnetic couples, and rolling means to facilitate movement of the inside and outside magnetic couples. A method for in line in situ validation of an air filter in an exhaust filter system is also described, which involves the use of the system for in line in situ validation of air filters of an exhaust filter system.
Abstract:
A barbecue grill includes a charcoal tray having a plurality of upward extended supporting brackets, which are formed at different heights with at least two locating notches each; a wire mesh supported on the locating notches at different heights depending on actual needs; and a supporting leg assembly located below the trip tray. The supporting leg assembly includes a primary leg and at least two secondary legs, all of which are length-adjustable sectional legs consisting of a plurality of detachably connected sections each, and a binding element screwed to the primary leg at a predetermined point for loosely binding the primary leg and the secondary legs together. The primary and secondary legs are screwed at upper locking ends to holding-down devices provided at an underside of the charcoal tray, such that the legs bound by the binding element are inclined to outward stretch lower ends in different directions.
Abstract:
The invention provides compounds that are fractalkine receptor agonists and useful in treating, preventing or minimizing metastasis in a subject diagnosed with cancer. The compounds of the invention are further useful in treating central nervous system diseases (such as, but not limited to, HIV Associated Neurocognitive Disorders (HAND), and/or Alzheimer's disease), pain, inflammation (such as, but not limited to, arthritis), cardiovascular disease (such as, but not limited to, undesired vascular smooth muscle proliferation, atherosclerosis, coronary vascular endothelial dysfunction, and/or coronary artery disease), and/or multiple sclerosis.
Abstract:
A file transferring method and system (FTMS) optimizes delivery of targeted advertisement files (TAF) to different target groups (TG) that consist of mobile handheld display device (MHDD) users. A server transmits small metadata packets containing a transmission schedule, target group identification (TGID), and information on each TAF, such as file identification, checksum, file size, and number of packets in the file to each MHDD which, on receipt of this metadata, checks the TGID in the metadata packet with a pre-stored TGID in the MHDD. If the TGID received matches the TGID stored in the MHDD, then the MHDD downloads and stores the metadata information. The MHDD then wakes-up during scheduled advertisement (AD) file transmission and downloads the TAFs. The MHDD uses the metadata to verify whether all packets of the TAF have been received without error. In case of error or shortfall, the MHDD wakes-up and downloads missing packets during a next scheduled transmission.
Abstract:
Content is downloaded to a mobile handheld device (MHD) and buffered on the MHD prior to, and during, viewing. Normal wireless bandwidth varies with atmospheric conditions, distance, obstructions in the path, etc. and hence the speed at which a content-buffer (CB) on the MHD is replenished changes. Because this can result in very low quality viewing experience for the user, the capability for alternate content scheduling provided a micro-splicer is used to enable stored alternate-content or advertisement insertion during periods of low viewing quality, when the CB does not hold sufficient content during the viewing period. This alternate content insertion allows the CB to be refilled before the user resumes content viewing.
Abstract:
Available advertisement spot duration is used to display a plurality of advertisements, and to obtain maximum impact while displaying a plurality of advertisements, within an advertisement spot, where the advertisements are each typically of a fixed duration, the sum of which is the total duration of the advertisement spot. Further optimization is accomplished by using advertisements of optimized duration, the advertisements having a cumulative duration of less than that of the advertisement spot, and by using a static advertisement and/or picture as a filler for the rest of the duration. Because static advertisements and/or pictures do not require a minimum duration for impact, they can be used to fill in the time left over from one or multiple advertisements within an advertisement spot. Embodiments of the invention find particular application for displaying advertisements on mobile handheld devices (MHDDs) to improve the impact of the advertisements.
