The image forming apparatus includes: an apparatus main body, a drawer, an image carrier, a developing unit which is provided to be movable with respect to the drawer, a contacting and spacing mechanism which is provided to at least one of the apparatus main body and the drawer, and which is configured to move the developing unit between a contacting position and a spacing position, a driving unit which is configured to drive the contacting and spacing mechanism, a cover, an interlocking mechanism which is configured to interlock with opening of the cover, wherein when the cover is opened, the interlocking mechanism performs a first operation of releasing the coupled state between the driving unit and the contacting and spacing mechanism, and a second operation of moving the developing unit to a drawn position while interlocking with the first operation.

摘要： An image forming apparatus configured to effectively prevent a failure in an image is provided. The image forming apparatus of the invention includes a housing, a transport belt for transporting a sheet along a sheet transport face, an image forming portion arranged above the sheet transport face, and a fixing unit arranged on a downstream side of the sheet transport face of the transport belt in a sheet transport direction. The fixing unit includes a heating roller and a pressure roller. A deposit portion where a toner waste deposits is disposed between the image forming portion and the heating roller. The deposit portion is provided with a contact portion that is configured to make contact with an image formation outside region at a trailing edge of the sheet jumping in a direction approaching the heating roller by being separated from the sheet transport face.

摘要： An image forming device includes a motor capable of positive rotation and reverse rotation, a photoconductor drum, a developing roller, a contact/separation cam and a switching cam. The contact/separation cam is configured to move the developing roller. The switching cam is configured to switch a position of a transmission member. An electromagnetic clutch is disposed between one of the contact/separation cam and the switching cam and the motor. The other cam is connected to the motor without the electromagnetic clutch. The contact/separation cam and the switching cam are driven by using the positive rotation and the reverse rotation of the motor and the electromagnetic clutch.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a driving source, a supply roller which supplies a recording sheet, a fixing device, a fixing driving gear mechanism which transmits a driving force of the driving source to the fixing device, a supply driving gear mechanism which transmits the driving force to the supply roller, and a control device. The control device controls the driving source to rotate in one direction when a temperature of the fixing device exceeds a predetermined temperature, and to rotate in a reverse direction when the temperature is the predetermined temperature or lower. The fixing driving gear mechanism includes a mechanism which interrupts a transmission of the driving force when rotating in the reverse direction. The supply driving gear mechanism includes a mechanism which causes a rotating direction of the supply roller to be same when the driving source rotates in both directions.
