Abstract:
An early alert system and a method for livestock disease detection are disclosed. An activity measurement zone (AMZ) is defined near an incentive device (e.g. food or water dispensing system) with an RFID tag reader and/or an RFID antenna. An animal's access into the AMZ is tracked and counted with an RFID tag attached to the animal. If the animals' activity relative to the AMZ drops to an alarmingly low level (e.g. dropping below an alert trigger point) over time, then a user of the alert system is informed of a potential health problem of the animal and may also be encouraged to inspect the animal in person for further determination of its current health and potential medical issues. The early alert system may be powered by hybrid alternative energy sources for rural or remote areas, which may have inconvenient or expensive access to conventional electrical power lines.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a three-dimensional cellular light structure formed of continuous wire groups. In the cellular light structure, six orientational helical wire groups are intercrossed each other at 60 degrees or 120 degrees of angles in a three-dimensional space to thereby form a uniform pattern and having a good mechanical property such as strength, rigidity or the like. A method of mass-producing the structure in a cost-effective manner is also disclosed. The three-dimensional cellular light structure has a similar form to the Kagome truss. According to the manufacturing method of the three-dimensional cellular light structure of the present invention, a frame assembly consisting of rectangular frames and connection support bars is used, when the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th-axis helical wires are assembled. In addition, the manufacturing method is characterized by comprising a step of arranging and fixing the 1st, 2nd and 3rd-axis wires on the frames to form a plurality of two-dimensional Kagome planes, a step of connecting the frames by means of connection support bars, and a step of assembling the 4th, 5th and 6th-axis wires to fabricate a three-dimensional cellular light structure. When required, the intersection points of the wires are bonded by means of welding, brazing, soldering, or a liquid-or-spray-form adhesive to provide a structural material having a light weight and a good mechanical strength and rigidity, it can be made into a fiber-reinforced composite material by filling part of or entire internal empty space of the structure.
Abstract:
An installing unit to stably install a data recording/reproducing device, such as a hard disk drive (HDD) into a photo-printer body, and a photo-printer having the installing unit are provided. The installing unit includes: a supporting bracket to support the data recording/reproducing device; a first vibration prevention member to support the supporting bracket to the photo-printer body to prevent an impact generated from the photo-printer from being transmitted to the supporting bracket; and a second vibration prevention member disposed between the supporting bracket and the data recording/reproducing device to absorb the impact transmitted from the supporting bracket to the data recording/reproducing device.
Abstract:
An integrated digital device and a displaying method are provided. The integrated digital device includes a display unit displaying a plurality of setup information items. A plurality of input keys positioned in the vicinity of the plurality of setup information items, respectively, are displayed on the display unit. A mode input unit selecting one among a plurality of modes in which different digital device functions are performed and a modifier modifying at least one of the setup information items according to at least one among the mode selected by the mode input unit and an input from at least one of the input keys.
Abstract:
A paper-feed roller and a fabrication method thereof in an office automation machine, such as a photocopier, a printer, and a facsimile machine, etc, includes forming a plastic roller along a general stainless shaft by a molding and forming a ceramic coating layer on a surface of the plastic roller. Accordingly, the paper-feed roller is capable of providing an economical effect in a fabrication cost and preventing a slipping of paper or a paper jam that is caused by a heat distortion and an abrasion occurring on a surface of a long time operated roller.
Abstract:
An apparatus in an automatic sheet feeder for a printer, a copy machine, or the like that prevents a corner of a sheet of feed paper from being turned down or "dog-eared" when that sheet of feed paper is being advanced from a stack of the feed paper. The apparatus includes a resilient finger engaging the forward edge of the sheet of feed paper. The resilient finger deflects slightly when the sheet of feed paper is urged forward such that the corner of the sheet of feed paper advances past the finger without folding or becoming dog-eared and the sheet of feed paper is separated from the stack of paper. In a preferred embodiment, the resilient finger is pivotally secured to a cassette for holding the stack of paper, and the finger is biased to engage the top most sheet of the stack of feed paper.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a semiconductor manufacturing apparatus including a transfer chamber provided with a substrate moving device to move substrates, a load lock chamber to align the substrates and to load and unload the substrates into and out of the transfer chamber, and at least one process chamber to process the substrates transferred from the transfer chambers. Each of the at least one process chamber includes a chamber provided with a substrate entrance formed on a side surface thereof, a substrate support provided within the chamber such that at least two substrates are disposed on the substrate support, and at least one divider provided within the chamber to align the at least two substrates.
