Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for translating, transcribing, and/or converting a printed label on a surface of an RFID tag into electronic data, which are writable to a non-volatile storage inside the RFID tag, are disclosed. In one example, the apparatus comprises an image reader for scanning a printed label on the surface of an RFID tag, a UHF antenna module, a UHF tag access module for reading from or writing into the RFID tag, and a computer interface to display various parameters and control the apparatus. A tag-holding plate containing batches of RFID tags can be brought to an access range of the image reader using a conveyor belt or another moving mechanism. Once positioned within the access range, the apparatus can read and translate a printed label on a RFID tag and write the converted electronic data into a non-volatile storage inside the RFID tag.
Abstract:
A novel RFID tag-bending test apparatus and a related method of using the novel RFID tag-bending test apparatus are disclosed. In one embodiment of the invention, the novel RFID tag-bending test apparatus can place a plurality of RFID tags in corresponding tag holding clips on the novel RFID tag-bending test apparatus to execute a bending test sequence along a particular bending axis for each RFID tag. The bending test sequence can assist identifying defective RFID tags which cannot overcome external bending pressures asserted by the novel RFID tag-bending test apparatus. By excluding these defective RFID tags from a commercial shipment of RFID tags to customers, a manufacturer of RFID tags may be able to reduce a rate of premature RFID tag failures due to external bending pressures in real-life applications of RFID tags, thereby achieving a higher quality assurance and reliability of RFID tags.
Abstract:
A multi-function machine has a jam removing apparatus comprising a first case disposed with respect to a printer unit to form a portion of paper supply path of the printer unit and having a portion of component parts of a scanner unit therein, a second case disposed with respect to the first case to form a portion of document supply path of the scanner unit together with the first case and having the rest of the component parts of the scanner unit therein, a first moving unit to separate the first and second cases apart from the printer unit so as to remove a jammed sheet of paper when the sheet of paper is jammed in the printer unit, and a second moving unit to separate the second case apart from the first case so as to remove a jammed document when the document is jammed in the scanner unit. The multi-function machine can remove the jammed sheet of paper and/or document jammed in scanning and/or printing operations, en bloc in the same place by one jam removing apparatus, and can also be constructed to have a reduced size and compact structure.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method and system enabling to remove a noise effectively by establishing types of shocks that may occur possibly and by sensing a shock using the error corresponding to the shock. The present invention includes the steps of reading a data recorded on a disk, detecting an error or errors from the read data using CIRC (cross interleaved Reed-Solomon code), counting a number of the detected errors, and of judging whether a shock is generated or not using the counted number of the errors.
Abstract:
The plasma antenna is designed to allow connection between electric elements within the antenna to be varied without changing the construction of the antenna during a chemical vapor deposition process, thereby maximizing efficiency of a cleaning or deposition process. The plasma antenna comprises two or more coils to which RF power is supplied from an RF power source, respectively, and a switch connected to ends of the coils. The coils are constructed to have different impedances. The circuit construction of the plasma antenna can be changed on the basis of an inductive coupled plasma antenna so as to generate parallel connection type plasma, series connection type plasma, or capacitive coupled plasma according to the kind of process, such as cleaning or depositing, without changing the construction of the antenna, so that the process can be performed efficiently, thereby enhancing productivity through reduction in manufacturing costs attributed to the simple construction of the antenna.
Abstract:
A driving apparatus of a multi-function machine includes a scanner unit scanning data recorded on a sheet of document and a document transport part to transport the sheet of document. A printer unit prints data on a sheet of paper for an output and includes a carrier including a print head with an ink jet nozzle mounted thereon to carry out the printing operation by moving the print head. The driving apparatus includes a driving motor, a scanner driving part driving the scanner unit, a printer driving part driving the printer unit, and a power switching part disposed with the driving motor, the scanner driving part, and the printer driving part. The power switching part selectively transmits a power of the driving motor to at least one of the scanner driving part and the printer driving part.

Abstract:
A memory control apparatus and method for operating a plurality of digital signal processors (DSPs) using a single memory slot and buffer are provided. Exemplary embodiments provide at least one DSP for processing different signals, a flash memory that can record and reproduce a digital signal, a plurality of selection switches located on signal lines between the DSP and the flash memory for switching the signals, a three-state buffer that selectively outputs insert information of the memory to the DSPs according to a control signal, a control unit for providing the control signal for controlling switching of the signals, and a key input unit for determining input/output operation modes. The control unit records and reproduces the data in the flash memory according to the operation mode determined through the key input unit.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a composition photographing apparatus and a sound recording method using the same. The Digital Still Camera (DSC) and Digital Video Camera (DVC) composition photographing apparatus has a multiplexer (MUX) connected to the DSC and the DVC, respectively, that multiplexes moving image signals received from the DSC and the DVC, respectively. An Audio coder decoder (CODEC) codes the electric signals and combines the coded electric signals with the moving image signals multiplexed by the MUX. A control unit controls the multiplexing process of the MUX.
Abstract:
An apparatus to remove an ink cartridge of an ink-jet printer. The apparatus includes a carriage having a supporting frame movably supported by a guide rail, and a receptacle connected to the supporting frame, an ink cartridge removable from the receptacle, the ink cartridge having a latching protrusion formed at an upper end thereof, a latching unit disposed at the supporting frame, being compressible and de-compressible to an original form, the latching unit in a compressed state latching the latching protrusion of the ink cartridge and the latching unit in a de-compressed state, is released from the latching protrusion, and a moving unit having a joint portion which pivots at a predetermined angle. The moving unit is pivotally disposed at the supporting frame, the moving unit to pivot in a first direction to completely mount the ink cartridge from a temporary mounting position in the receptacle and to compress the latching unit. The jointing portion is fixedly positioned in a bent state due to a recovery force of the compressed latching unit, and the moving unit pivots in a second direction, opposite to the first direction to permit the latching unit to return to the uncompressed state.
